Great News – Spring Match Campaign Extended

Marriage Supporter — We're now just over two weeks away from the critically-important 2017 March for Marriage, and I received some great news today that the Spring Matching Campaign will be extended through June 17th so that every donation we receive to support the March for Marriage will be matched dollar for dollar (up to a total match of $100,000)!

This year's March for Marriage is an extremely important event, a tremendous opportunity to highlight our fight to restore marriage, preserve gender and fight for religious liberty. It's our first March for Marriage during the Trump administration, and it occurs just as Attorney General Jeff Sessions is developing new rules to protect the religious liberty rights of marriage supporters to act on the truth of marriage at work and in their daily lives without fear of retribution by the federal government. The March also will unfold against the backdrop of ongoing speculation in the legal community that another vacancy on the US Supreme Court is about to occur, potentially giving us the chance to restore marriage to our nation's laws.

Will you make an urgent financial contribution to help with the upcoming March for Marriage? Every dollar you give will be matched by a generous donor, doubling the impact of your gift.

NOM continues to lead the effort to push President Trump to deliver on his religious liberty promises. Our powerful new video and our petition to Attorney General Jeff Sessions have engaged thousands of Americans in this fight. It's essential that the Trump administration act to prevent the ongoing persecution of individuals, pastors, business owners and faith-based charities and groups that began under Barack Obama, who unleashed the power of the federal government to target people for continuing to support marriage as the union of one man and one woman.

The 2017 March for Marriage will provide an important opportunity to highlight our issues to Congress and the Trump administration. Unfortunately, our financial coffers are low, and we are scrambling to cover all the costs of a major event like the March for Marriage. That is why it's so important that loyal NOM members like you respond with a generous financial contribution, which will be matched dollar for dollar, so that we have the funds needed to make the 2017 March for Marriage a success.

Thank you for any help you can provide at this critical time.

Faithfully,

Brian S Brown

PS — If you haven’t yet watched our video or signed our important petition in support of religious liberty, please do so now. And then share them with all your friends and family members. Thank you!

Help Us Fight for Marriage and Religious Liberty

Marriage Supporter — NOM is focused on two critical programs that are urgently in need of your help: our fight for religious liberty protections, and the upcoming March for Marriage. The two projects are intimately connected.

President Trump needs to hear from NOM's supporters that we expect him to deliver on his promises to people of faith to protect religious liberty and the right to live out the truth of marriage in our daily lives without fear of punishment from the federal government. And with more vacancies expected soon on the US Supreme Court, it's important that Congress and the Trump Administration see that Americans continue to support marriage as the union of one man and one woman.

Will you join with me in making an urgent financial contribution to support NOM's work on religious liberty and the March for Marriage? Every dollar you give will be matched by a generous donor, meaning that your donation will go twice as far in support of our cause.

Our push for President Trump to deliver on his religious liberty promises is off to a great start. Thousands of people have watched our new video and signed our petition to Attorney General Jeff Sessions, whom President Trump has tasked with the job of writing new religious liberty rules for the federal government. We are also working hard to plan and execute the upcoming 2017 March for Marriage, which will occur on Saturday June 17th in Washington, DC.

We do not have reserves to tap to help us get through this pivotal time. We're relying on you and other strong supporters to step forward with a financial contribution that will allow us to continue to do everything possible to succeed.

Please give generously knowing that your donation will be matched, doubling the effectiveness of your gift. Thank you.

Faithfully,

Brian S Brown

Your donation of any amount will help us continue to press hard for religious liberty protections. If you haven’t yet signed our important petition in support of religious liberty, please do so now. And then share it with all your friends and family members.

Watch Our New Video on Religious Liberty

Marriage Supporter — NOM has just released an important new video calling on all marriage supporters to sign our new petition to Attorney General Jeff Sessions to issue comprehensive rules to protect the religious liberty of people who support marriage, life and the truth of gender and ensure we are not targeted by the federal government because of our views. Please watch the video.

This powerful new video is part of our ongoing commitment to pressure the Trump administration to once and for all fulfill President Trump's repeated promises to people of faith that his administration would "do everything in its power to defend and protect religious liberty."

There are a number of things that we have applauded President Trump on since his election, especially the appointment of Neil Gorsuch to the US Supreme Court and the rescission of President Obama's illegal transgender bathroom mandate in the public schools. But we are obligated to call President Trump out when he has not done what he has promised to do – and protecting the religious liberty of people of faith to continue to live out their beliefs about marriage, gender, life and human sexuality is at the top of the "unfulfilled promises" list.

There is still time for President Trump to get this right. That's why we encourage you to watch our new video, share it with your friends and family, and then make sure that you and everyone you can reach has signed the petition to Attorney General Sessions.

NOM is a top group in the country continuing to pressure the Trump administration to fulfill the president's promises to provide comprehensive religious liberty protections. We need to raise additional funds to expand the launch of this video and invite more people to sign the petition.

Please make a generous financial contribution to NOM today, which will be matched dollar for dollar by a generous donor. If you can contribute $25, NOM will receive $50. Whatever amount you can manage -- $25, $50, $100, $250 or even $500 or more – will immediately be matched and NOM will receive twice the amount that you contributed.

Thank you for all your support, and for helping us continue to fight for religious liberty for everyone who believes in the truth of marriage.

Faithfully,

Brian S Brown

Fighting for Principle, Challenging the Powerful

Marriage Supporter — Nearly five months through 2017, I can't tell you how excited I am with NOM's resurgent and important role in this age of the Trump presidency. The opportunities we have to shape the future are amazing – something our adversaries simply cannot handle – while the challenges posed by these times require deft decision making and strategic action. It's a fantastic time to be working with you on behalf of marriage, gender and religious liberty!

We've already accomplished so much in such a short time, but as much as we've done together there is so much more that needs doing. We need to raise significantly more resources to continue to be successful.

Will you join with me in making an urgent financial contribution to support NOM's work at this important time? Every dollar you give will be matched by a generous donor, meaning that your donation will go twice as far in support of our cause.

NOM has two immediate top-priority matters that require significant focus and investment:

  • First, we've launched a response to push-back against President Trump's failure to meaningfully protect religious liberty in the recent executive order he signed. Already, thousands of people have signed our petition to Attorney General Jeff Sessions, whom President Trump has tasked with the job of writing new religious liberty rules for the federal government. (We will have a major announcement about our work on this next week.)

  • Second, we are working hard to plan and execute the upcoming 2017 March for Marriage, which will occur on Saturday June 17th in Washington, DC. This year's March takes on tremendous importance as a show of support for marriage for the new Trump Administration, and given the likelihood that we could have a pro-marriage majority on the Supreme Court sooner rather than later.

Our resources are low; we do not have reserves we can tap to help us get through this pivotal time. We're counting on you and other strong supporters to step forward with a financial contribution that will allow us to continue to pour all our energies into the fight.

Please give generously knowing that your donation will be matched, and NOM will thus be doubly blessed.

Faithfully,

Brian S Brown

Take Immediate Action In Support Of Religious Liberty

After repeated promises to people of faith that his administration would do "everything in its power to protect religious liberty in our land," President Donald Trump has now twice backed away from issuing an Executive Order to meaningfully protect Christians and other faithful citizens against discrimination. Rather than tackle the issue himself, President Trump has instead punted to the Department of Justice where Attorney General Jeff Sessions has been charged with the responsibility of developing rules to protect the religious liberty rights of individuals and groups.

Please take immediate action in support of religious liberty by signing our new petition to Attorney General Jeff Sessions today.

The threats to the religious liberty rights of people and groups who believe in traditional marriage, the sanctity of human life and the truth of gender are numerous and severe. Christian colleges and universities risk losing their accreditation for not accepting the LGBT agenda. Faith based adoption agencies have closed because they believe a child deserves a mother and a father. Churches and religious groups are subjected to discrimination by the government for failure to change their beliefs, prevented from receiving grants or government contracts for providing services to people in need. And Christian schools, ministries and charities can be prevented from making hiring decisions consistent with their faith beliefs.

Sign Our Petition Today!

It is imperative that the religious liberty rights of people and groups who hold traditional viewpoints about marriage, life, gender and human sexuality be protected so that no American is forced by the government to sacrifice their religious beliefs in order to avoid being targeted by the government.

Please sign our Petition to Attorney General Sessions demanding that he draft comprehensive, robust rules that will fully protect the right of people of faith to subscribe to traditional moral principles without risk of governmental retribution.

NOM is working hard to ensure that the Trump Administration delivers on what it has promised – comprehensive legal protections for people of faith to live out the truth of marriage, gender and life in their daily lives and at work. Please sign our petition today.

Faithfully,

Brian S Brown

March and Match...

Marriage Supporter — Our dedicated team at NOM is working overtime with all the projects we have underway. One of the most important things we are working on is the upcoming 2017 March for Marriage on June 17th in Washington, DC. This is a critical annual event to keep the fight to restore marriage in the public eye, and has taken on added significance this year with the failure of President Trump to issue an Executive Order protecting the religious liberty rights of marriage supporters, and instead punting the issue to the Department of Justice to develop those rules.

I have to be honest about this challenge – we have a ton of work ahead of us not only to organize the March for Marriage, but also to launch a comprehensive plan demanding religious liberty protections, and our resources are extremely low. We expended every available dollar in the fight to confirm Neil Gorsuch and in the promotion of the highly-successful #FreeSpeechBus tour. Now we must immediately replenish our resources for the March for Marriage and the continuing fight for religious liberty.

Show Your Support!

Will you act today with an immediate financial contribution so that we have the funds we need to execute these projects?

Fortunately, our Spring Matching Fund campaign is underway through the end of May, so every donation we receive will be matched dollar for dollar by a generous supporter. I'm asking you to make a generous donation today so that we can proceed with what needs to be done knowing that we will have the resources needed to be successful. Can I count on you?

I'll donate $15, which will be matched to help with the upcoming March for Marriage and the fight for religious liberty.

I'll donate $25, which will be matched to help with the upcoming March for Marriage and the fight for religious liberty.

I'll donate $50, which will be matched to help with the upcoming March for Marriage and the fight for religious liberty.

I'll donate $100, which will be matched to help with the upcoming March for Marriage and the fight for religious liberty.

I'll donate $250, which will be matched to help with the upcoming March for Marriage and the fight for religious liberty.

I'll donate $500, which will be matched to help with the upcoming March for Marriage and the fight for religious liberty.

I'll donate $1,000 or more, which will be matched to help with the upcoming March for Marriage and the fight for religious liberty.

NOM has remained in the trenches fighting for marriage, and we will not rest until marriage is restored to our nation's laws and the anti-constitutional Obergefell gay 'marriage' ruling is reversed. The appointment of Justice Neil Gorsuch is a great first step. Now we likely need just one justice from the majority ruling in Obergefell to retire so we can be in a position to reverse that ruling. In the meantime, we must secure legal protections for all Americans who believe in the truth of marriage, gender and the sanctity of life.

Double Your Impact Today!

Organizing a major event like the March for Marriage is an enormous undertaking, one that requires the expenditure of tremendous financial and personnel resources. I am asking you to act today with an urgent financial contribution to help us undertake this critical project.

There's a part of me that wishes we could slow down a bit after the frenetic pace we have endured thus far this year. But I realize that God would not bless us with so many opportunities if He was not going to allow us to be successful. I trust in Him, and I trust in you and our other strong members that the financial resources we need will become available to make the 2017 March for Marriage a success and to continue our campaign for religious liberty.

Whatever amount you can give, please act today. Remember, every contribution will be doubled thanks to a matching gift from a generous donor.

Faithfully,

Brian S Brown

Trump Punts – Time To Put The Heat On

Marriage Supporter — President Trump has so far failed to deliver on his repeated promises to do everything in his power to protect the religious liberty of people of faith and faith-based groups. The Executive Order he signed last week was empty of any meaningful protections when it comes to those who have been targeted by the government for their beliefs about marriage, gender and human sexuality. Instead, Trump has punted the issue to the Department of Justice which, he says, will develop new rules to protect the religious liberty rights of people and groups.

This is the second time that President Trump has backed away from signing a comprehensive order protecting religious liberty and the pattern shows that we have to put the heat on him and his administration to prevent LGBT extremist groups from stopping progress on our issues. Will you make an immediate financial contribution today to help us ramp up pressure on President Trump and the Department of Justice to do what he swore he would do — protect the religious liberty of people of faith?

Thanks to a generous donor, all contributions through the end of May will be matched dollar for dollar. Please give generously.

Double Your Contribution 'Dollar for Dollar'

Our team is hard at work on a series of activities to hold President Trump accountable and to ramp up the pressure. We will be rolling out our plan shortly. To be successful, We are going to need funds to produce materials including new videos and pamphlets, and to organize supporters at the grassroots to put pressure on the administration. Please give generously so we have the resources we need to fight for you and all people of faith. Thank you.

Faithfully,

Brian S Brown

Trump Fails To Deliver on Religious Liberty, Punts to DOJ

Marriage Supporter — President Trump has repeatedly promised that he would do everything in his power to protect the religious liberty of people of faith and faith-based groups. It was a major factor in his election. However, an executive order he signed today, while containing some helpful provisions for pastors and religious medical providers, falls far short of what is needed to protect people of faith from governmental persecution set in motion by the Obama administration. Instead, he has punted the issue to the Department of Justice which, he says, will develop new rules to protect the religious liberty rights of people and groups.

This is the second time that President Trump has backed away from signing a comprehensive order protecting religious liberty after LGBT groups complained about the proposed actions. We cannot accept this capitulation on such a critical issue and must fight back. Will you help us insist that President Trump fulfill his repeated promises to protect the religious liberty of people of faith?

I'm in for $15 to fight for religious liberty

I'm in for $25 to fight for religious liberty

I'm in for $50 to fight for religious liberty

I'm in for $100 to fight for religious liberty

I'm in for $250 to fight for religious liberty

I'm in for $500 to fight for religious liberty

I'm in for $1000 or more to fight for religious liberty

Thanks to a generous donor, all contributions through the end of May will be matched dollar for dollar. Please give generously.

Double Your Impact Today!

President Trump talks eloquently about religious liberty and did so again today at a ceremony in the Rose Garden of the White House. While he may sincerely believe in protecting religious liberty, his actual executive order does not do so in any meaningful way for the vast majority of people of faith.

As a result, Christian colleges and universities risk losing their accreditation for not accepting the LGBT agenda. Faith based adoption agencies will remain closed because they believe a child deserves a mother and a father. Churches and religious groups will be discriminated against by the government for failure to change their beliefs, prevented from receiving grants or government contracts for providing services to people in need. And Christian schools, ministries and charities will be prevented from making hiring decisions consistent their faith beliefs.

Because of President Trump's failure to directly fulfill his repeated campaign promises, people of faith will continue to be in the crosshairs of the government, forced to choose between abandoning their beliefs or risk facing governmental persecution and complying with onerous demands of the government.

While we are disappointed that President Trump did not directly protect the religious liberty rights of people of faith, this battle is far from over. NOM is committed to fighting to ensure that the new rules that are developed by the Department of Justice are comprehensive and effective, and we will need your help in doing so.

Please help us launch a strong and effective response to fight for religious liberty. We need funds to educate Americans, produce materials including new videos and pamphlets, to organize grassroots supporters and to engage Americans to contact the administration to demand that President Trump once and for act to protect religious liberty as he has repeatedly promised to do. Your support will give us the resources we need to fight for you and all people of faith. Thank you.

Faithfully,

Brian S Brown
