One week to make history

Edit date and time

Dear Friend—In one week, Americans will go to the polls, and the outcome of the elections couldn’t be more critical. Control of Congress is on the line. The US House elections are, of course, enormously important, but NOM is focused on maintaining control of the US Senate. With your help, we might even be able to expand the GOP majority there. Holding control of the Senate, or even picking up a seat or two, is essential if we want to support President Trump's efforts on life, marriage and religious liberty. And it's absolutely essential to continuing to remake the federal courts – including the US Supreme Court – in a way consistent with what our country's founders envisioned and the Constitution demands.

Please help us spread the word about what's at stake

We are focused on four Democrat US Senators up this election in states that were carried by President Trump. Senators Heidi Heitkamp, Jon Tester, Claire McCaskill and Joe Donnelly have all voted with the hard left on critical issues. These Democrat incumbents opposed the confirmation of Justice Brett Kavanaugh, throwing in with the hard-left in their attempts to deny the ascension to the Court of a conservative, constitutionalist who will help end the practice of judges legislating from the bench. We've endorsed the Republican challengers in North Dakota, Montana, Missouri and Indiana.

The outcome of these four races could determine control of the US Senate. The left has raised over $1 billion so far in their attempt to stop President Trump's agenda and prevent further judicial nominees from taking office. There's nothing more important to restoring marriage, protecting religious liberty and standing for the truth of gender than control of the US Supreme Court and the filling of lower level judicial vacancies with common-sense, constitutional conservatives. And the makeup of the Courts depends entirely on the willingness of the Senate to confirm President Trump's outstanding nominees.

It's critical that we be able to spread the word about our endorsements and educate people about the importance of the midterm elections to all the issues we care about. Will you help us with a contribution today?

To understand the importance of the Courts to our overall agenda, look no further than marriage. Over 50 million Americans in nearly three dozen states went to the polls to define marriage as only the union of one man and one woman, yet five unelected judges on the Supreme Court took it upon themselves to impose same-sex 'marriage' on the entire nation back in 2015 in their anti-constitutional Obergefell decision. One of those five justices who voted in the majority, Anthony Kennedy, is now gone, replaced by Justice Kavanaugh, meaning we finally have a potential path forward to restore marriage to our nation's laws. But if Democrats manage to take control of the US Senate, no conservative judges will be confirmed to the federal courts and all the progress we've made will come to a halt.

Your contribution today will be used to help NOM get the word out about what's at stake for people of faith, and all Americans. Please, take a moment to make a contribution today so that we can ensure that every voter knows what is at stake when they cast their ballots.
