As we enter the heat of the summer, many of our elected officials in Washington are taking time off, some on family vacations, some meeting with constituents, and others participating in "fact finding" trips to other countries. But while the Congressional schedule may allow for our federal representatives to take a break, NOM does not have that luxury. We need to use this limited time to get ready for a major push in just a few weeks to protect people who believe in marriage as one man and one woman from discrimination, punishment and harassment at the hands of government officials doing the bidding of LGBT extremists.
Can I count on you to help us be successful?
Here's our plan:

Combined, these four priorities form the backbone of NOM's Summer For Protecting Marriage Supporters. But to be successful on any one of these undertakings, let alone our full agenda, we need the help of every NOM supporter. Will you be with us?
I'll chip in $15 for the Summer For Protecting Marriage Supporters
I'll chip in $25 for the Summer For Protecting Marriage Supporters
I'll chip in $35 for the Summer For Protecting Marriage Supporters
I'll chip in $50 for the Summer For Protecting Marriage Supporters
I'll chip in $100 for the Summer For Protecting Marriage Supporters
I'll chip in $250 for the Summer For Protecting Marriage Supporters
I'll chip in $500 or more for the Summer For Protecting Marriage Supporters
We’ve got a lot of work to do to be successful, and our team is already hard at work doing the heavy lifting that is required. We're preparing additional educational videos and informational pieces to explain the importance of this effort, getting ready to launch more petitions to engage Americans in the cause, putting the final touches on new policy positions that allied groups can endorse and help us present to Congress and the Trump administration, and conducting rigorous legal research on how and why the constitution protects the rights of people of faith to decline to be involved in something that violates their deeply held beliefs.
No American should be forced to abandon their faith and tenets of belief about marriage to avoid being targeted by the government for punishment. Our side has never taken the position that the LGBT community should be punished for pursuing their beliefs, yet LGBT extremists regularly claim that we are hateful, bigoted homophobes who deserve to be punished whenever possible for believing that marriage is the union of one man and one woman.
While this summer will be extremely busy for us at NOM, it's no secret that the summer months are the most challenging time to raise financial support for nonprofit groups. We're counting on you and other NOM supporters to show that this year is an exception and that our finances will not take a hit just when we need to step up our investment in pursuing our agenda to protect marriage supporters from discrimination.
Please give generously at this important time. We need your ongoing support, and we thank you for all that you are doing to help us restore marriage and protect marriage supporters.
Faithfully,
