Contact Your Senators Urging Them to Confirm Judge Neil Gorsuch

Marriage Supporter — The US Senate will vote this week on the confirmation of Supreme Court nominee Neil Gorsuch. Judge Gorsuch is an extraordinary nominee to our highest Court, an intellectual giant and a proven pro-family conservative. It is imperative that he be confirmed to our highest Court.

Please act today to urge your US Senators to confirm Judge Gorsuch to the Supreme Court.

This past weekend, we were pleased to see Senator Mitch McConnell pledge that Judge Gorsuch would be confirmed one way or another, strongly implying that he is prepared to change the Senate rules if needed to avoid a partisan filibuster on Gorsuch's nomination. As it stands, only three Democrats have said they will support Judge Gorsuch, leaving him five votes shy of the 60 vote threshold that is needed to stop a filibuster. But if the Senate rules are changed to eliminate a partisan filibuster, as the Democrats pledged to do if they returned to power, then Judge Gorsuch would sail to confirmation.

It's imperative that Senator McConnell stay strong and that every sitting Senate Republican support him in the effort to ensure Judge Gorsuch's nomination, whatever it takes. That's why I am asking that in addition to contacting your Senators, please urgently sign NOM's petition to Senate Leader Mitch McConnell demanding that the Senate do everything in its power to assure the confirmation of Judge Gorsuch.

As you know, the path to reversing the illegitimate, anti-constitutional ruling of the Supreme Court redefining marriage begins with the confirmation of Judge Gorsuch. Once he becomes a justice, we will likely be only one vote shy of reversing this horrible decision.

Please sign our petition adding your name in support of confirming Judge Gorsuch to the Supreme Court. It's really important that Senator McConnell be able to see as many NOM members as possible so that he can rally his members to stay strong in support of a rules change if that's what is necessary to confirm Judge Gorsuch's nomination.
