In Good Times and Bad

Dear Marriage Supporter,

Like any relationship, our work in support of marriage occurs through good times and in bad, when the wind is at our back and when it is in our face. Some challenges are harder than others, some circumstances present unexpected opportunities. Because NOM is not funded by Wall Street billionaires and huge corporations (unlike those who oppose traditional marriage) we rely on you and thousands of others to sustain our work.

I am asking you to consider making a sustaining contribution to NOM each month of $25, $35, $50 or even $100 — whatever you can prayerfully afford. Knowing that we will be able to count on your support no matter the current crisis or opportunity will be a great benefit. It will allow us to more effectively plan our work, and stay within budget.

Becoming a Sustaining Member is easy. Each month your credit card will be charged the amount you select — $15, $25, $35, $50, $100 or even more, whatever you decide. When you go to this link, you first select the amount you wish to donate. You can pick from several suggested amounts, or hit "other amount" to enter a different donation. Then, be sure to scroll down and check the box under the words SUSTAINING MEMBERSHIP. This provides us the authorization we need to process your donation each month. Then scroll to where you complete the credit card information, fill it in, and hit "DONATE." That's all there is to it!

Developing a core group of sustaining members is extremely important to us as we embark upon pursuit of our five-point plan to reverse the anti-constitutional and illegitimate decision of the US Supreme Court imposing gay 'marriage' on the nation, while protecting the rights of supporters to live their beliefs about marriage in their daily lives. We're working hard to enact the First Amendment Defense Act at the federal and state level, which is critically important legislation to prevent government from punishing people who do not want to be forced into supporting same-sex 'marriage.' Already we've seen countless bakers, florists, photographers, printers, clerks and others punished simply for refusing to participate in a same-sex 'wedding' that violates their beliefs. We are working to elect a pro-marriage champion as President, because appointing pro-marriage, pro-constitution judges to the US Supreme Court is the quickest way to reverse the Obergefell ruling redefining marriage. We are laboring hard to create new grassroots education and mobilization tools to help Americans gain a more complete understanding of the nature of marriage and how important it is to preserve it in the law. We're working to highlight the many victims of the Supreme Court's lawless decision, such as Kim Davis who was jailed because she did not want to personally issue same-sex 'marriage' licenses which violate her faith. And we are leading the fight in the court of public opinion to show strong resistance to redefining marriage and continuing support to restore it — in the face of unrelenting pressure from gay activists and the elites to accept this illegitimate ruling as "the law of the land."

Like many American families, NOM has been forced to do more with less. Our workload has increased as we seek to reverse what the Supreme Court has done and protect your rights in the meantime, but we can't just snap our fingers like gay 'marriage' groups can do and receive a seemingly unlimited supply of money.

With an increased workload and reduced staff, we're stretched very thin. The last thing I want to do is take more of my time away from pursuing our programs and spend it on fundraising. That is why developing a core group of Sustaining Members is critically important to us.

Please act today to become a Sustaining Member of NOM so that we can count on your support throughout the year:

I’ll make a monthly Sustaining Member donation of $15

I’ll make a monthly Sustaining Member donation of $25

I’ll make a monthly Sustaining Member donation of $50

I’ll make a monthly Sustaining Member donation of $100

Recruiting several thousand Sustaining Members of NOM would be an enormous blessing for us, and richly benefit the cause of marriage. Not only would we benefit from the financial stability that Sustaining Members would provide, but we'd receive a tremendous emotional boost knowing that you and thousands of others are investing in the work we do, which is critical if we are to preserve marriage in America, and throughout the world.

Your monthly gift of $25, $35, $50, $100 or even $250 or more — whatever amount you prayerfully decide is appropriate under your circumstances — will be a great blessing and materially contribute to our ability to restore marriage to our laws, and preserve this immensely important institution in our culture. Please act today to become a Sustaining Member of NOM.

Thank you for your consideration.
