NOM Donates $400K, KofC Donates $250K to Critical Washington State Fight

We're all working hard to raise the funds needed to win in November in all four states voting on marriage.

We've already raised, for instance, almost $100K at www.MillionDollarMarriageMatch.com (which equals almost $300K!).

SeattlePI reports on new resources we've been able to send to Washington State with your support -- as well as efforts by the fraternal Catholic organization the Knights of Colombus:

The campaign war chest for opponents of same-sex marriage in Washington has started to swell, following a pattern of concentrated late-campaign contributions set in California’s Proposition 8 battle four years ago.

The umbrella group Preserve Marriage Washington, which is fighting Referendum 74 on the November ballot,  reported on Monday a $250,000 donation from the Knights of Columbus, a Catholic fraternal organization, and $400,000 from the National Organization for Marriage.

Preserve Marriage Washington has now raised $1.776 million.

... Opponents will get a boost Wednesday when ex-Sen. Rick Santorum, a Republican presidential candidate earlier this year,  speaks at Spokane and Bellevue fundraising events for the Family Policy Institute of Washington.

1776, that's a good number! It reminds us of www.KeepTheRepublicandMarriage.com.
