Hawaii Governor declares Hawaii marriage Law denies Federal Constitutional Rights.

Attorney General David M. Louie announced yesterday that Governor Neil Abercrombie and Director of the State Department of Health Loretta Fuddy, have filed separate answers, as the two defendants named in their official capacities, in the First Amendment Complaint in Jackson v. Abercrombie, the United States District Court lawsuit which challenges Hawaii's ban on same sex marriage.

Governor Abercrombie has acknowledged many of the complaint's allegations, including the denial of federal constitutional rights caused by the state's existing marriage law. Director Fuddy, however, as the director of the department charged with administering the law, has denied many of the complaint's allegations. As such, the Department of Health will continue to enforce the law, and will vigorously defend it.

Get ready for same sex marriage in Hawaii with this Administration's record of defense of existing laws.

Abercrombie has been rated as the least popular Governor (most unpopular, though not easily compared) in the USA, currently. Hawaii, with a Democrat Legislature and Governor, is no longer Paradise, now that they cannot get any more Earmarks, hardly. Democrats have never been so vulnerable, in Honolulu.

Your reading comprehension must be slipping. Did you read Walker's ruling and findings of fact? The ninth circuit must have agreed. Do you seriously think the ninth circuit is wrong? What nomers fail to accept is that their opinion of homosexuals means absolutely nothing. Fact, reason and reality conversely mean everything. The court, through logic and reason, found the prop h8 defense to be nothing but full of the holes you mentioned. Your confidence scotus will deliver a result contrary to that of Walker's is nothing less than maliciously natured hubris.

If had the money, I would solicit for your dollars, in fact I would open up a business and post a BIG sign in the front of the store that would say,"GOD BLESS AMERICA, WE ARE OPEN FOR BUSINESS, WE SUPPORT THE AMERICAN FAMILY", and offer a better tasting coffee than Starbucks.
Someone elses loss is another person's gain... This is how the free market works! If you mistep in running your business, there is a another company just waiting for you to fall and take away what you once had and abused.

My point:
Apply your conscience as to whether you will personally support these corporation's monetary gain. Detailed sponsorship of "external GLBT events" (GayLesbianBiSexualTrangender events) is money used in part to further the legislative cause disregarding and disrespectful of DOMA and US Congress as the authoritative legislative body.

It is most effective to personally boycott companies which sell low-priced everyday products, and NOT to boycott their close competitors (as in Coca-Cola vs. Pepsi). It is also important to highlight any addictive, or less-healthy aspect of the products, or whether the Nutrition Facts of the product are easily obtainable.

I'll bet though, if 50% of their consumers sent the company a letter to tell them to stay out of the marriage business, that would be their huge wake-up call...
