More information on what is being taught in Oakland - and who is being taught:
Students in all grades at Oakland's Redwood Heights Elementary School got an introductory lesson on the topic on Monday. Fox News was allowed to sit in on the lessons, which included teachings to kindergartners and fourth-graders.
... Joel Baum, director of education and training for Gender Spectrum, taught the classes. In the kindergarten class he asked the 5- and 6-year-olds to identify if a toy was a "girl toy" or a "boy toy" or both. He also asked which students liked the color pink, prompting many to raise their hands, to which he responded that that boys can like pink, too. -- FoxNews

And the parents gave their permission
"And the parents gave their permission"
If so, then there is something seriously wrong with the parents.
Don't you love farce?
My fault, I fear.
I thought that you'd want what I want -
Sorry, my dear.
Send in the (transgendered) clown (fish).
Don't bother - they're here.
Your tax dollars at work.
but yet and still, the parents gave their permission so this not a case the alleged gay agenda holding children captive.
This should NEVER be in our Schools ,it the mom and dad place to teach there childern Not union school teachers,
I'd like to know exactly what the parents were told concerning this "gender training" or if they would still give their blessing if they were to actually see for themselves what these children are being taught.
a lot probably would still give their consent. there was nothing "extreme" about these lessons. BUT the fact of the matter is that the parents gave their consent.

Junk science being passed off as undisputed fact seems pretty extreme to me. Enough to be justifiably controversial.

This junk science being passed off as "fact" seems pretty extreme to me.
This does not validate this junk science as "fact", alvin m. No matter how you cut it.
It's not junk science, male sea horses really do raise the young and boys can like the color pink.
alvin.m had said kindergarteners were not involved. Does he eat his words? No. He just keeps on trying to find fault in reporting. Anything at all will do, for him/her.
All parents were given advanced notice? To what extent, and in what way? Gradually, the truth keeps coming out... as the parents start to become aware of what subliminal messages were taught to their children. That's what they get for sending their kids to Public School. I guess they cannot afford otherwise.
Parents gave their consent to what, exactly?
