Poll: Should California Public Schools Celebrate Harvey Milk's Birthday?

Via Save Califronia, a remarkable consensus: no.

The question posed was: Do you think Harvey Milk's birthday should? Or should not? Be recognized statewide as a "day of significance?"

What does this have to do with gay marriage? As usual, NOM is showing its true colors by posting stories with anti-gay animus. Keep saying you don't dislike gay people. Your actions speak otherwise NOM

Another homosexual poll designed to persuade, not report. What this one does is introduce Harvey Milk to a bunch of people who have never heard of him.

That's the foot in the door towards generating public support for this sodomist; the first step towards desensitizing the people to this creep, much in the same way that they desensitized the public to homosexuality, separating the label from the immoral behavior that defines it.

If you talk about how great, e.g., b*tt f*ing is, like one recent homosexual opinion piece did, eventually people become comfortable talking about b*tt f*ing, and how it does no harm to them (those who don't participate in it).

This is all manipulation. If NOM is going to give them media space for this dreck, then it better come up with some polls of it's own with questions like, "Did you know that homosexual sex accounts for over 50% of the HIV cases in the US?" or "Would you support research by the Federal Government to help prevent children from becoming homosexual?" Or "Are you in favor of public schools teaching children how to participate in gay sex?"

I wouldn't give these polls any media space whatsoever.

(sorry if this appears as duplicate; my first post didn't appear before I wrote this one)

Polls are designed to persuade, not report. This poll is designed to introduce people to the sodomite, Harvey Milk, who have never heard of him before.

This is the same thing that was done and continues to be done with SSM. They keep conducting biased polls, trying to make people comfortable with the concept, desensitizing people to it, claiming it is harmless. Each poll that shows some support is designed to persuade other people to go along with concept.

What did Mr. Milk do to be celebrated? What kind of heroic behavior or public service did he demonstrate above his duties?
Our schools are flailing big time in CA. But the gay agenda pushes on, insisting on class time. It's absurd.

Is Tom Bradley's birthday celebrated outside of California, or even Los Angeles?

I am certain that no public building in San Francisco is named after Tom Bradley. This is simply because Bradley was a local L.A. figure, with no major significance either in the city of San Francisco, or California as a whole.

By contrast, there is at least one building in San Francisco, and maybe more, named after Harvey Milk. He was a significant figure in San Francisco politics and history, and that a building or two in that city is named after him is not surprising.

Harvey Milk was one of the finest Americans of the 20th century, he helped us to be proud, to stand up, and not to let bigots beat us down.
