As for Louis Marinelli, Brian Brown responded to his announcement he no longer favors protecting marriage this way:

"Louis Marinelli worked in a volunteer capacity as a bus driver during our summer marriage tour. Around this time, NOM began to pay him as a part-time consultant for helping us expand our internet reach. He has since chosen a different focus. We wish him well."

Louis is not an untalented blogger, but how many other conservative republican pundits do you know that operate from inside Russia? Weird.

Really, who cares? NOM rolls on. The battle rolls on. Just a mundane example of the uncertainty of human nature. ;-)

    Maggie -

What's going on in Delaware? I'm hearing that SSM is all but done there, needing only to pass the House. Is that true, and how did I miss it? What can we do, if anything?

Odd how some can only acknowledge the "uncertainty of human nature" when it favors their worldview.

Anybody who claims that it is impossible to "impose one set of moral values" is no conservative.

In fact they are not even rational.

The absence of such an imposition is the basic definition of anarchy- the absence of civilization.

Of course in practice such protestations don;t last long, which is why we do not see many anarchies in the world, but plenty of dictatorships launched in the name of freedom.

Louis Martinelli is about as conservative as Mao Tse Tung.

So... you couldn't even keep your own bus driver--who drove around with you on this marriage tour, heard your ideas every day, presumably talked to you one-on-one, who was ON YOUR SIDE at the beginning of this--on board with your anti-same sex marriage message. Do you think maybe that tells you something about the strength of your message? Or maybe about how you're trying to get it across?

John B.- when NC voters get to have their say on marriage in 2012, we will see who has a stronger message, just as we have 31 times before. How are confident are you it will fail?

    John,
One man changes his mind and you question the strength of the meaning of marriage message. How do you explain Prop 8 then? The message is strong and clear to a solid majority of Americans.

As for Louis, I, too, wish him well. :)

    Jericho:

What is "odd" is having sex with someone of the same sex! I can't top THAT ONE for being "odd"!

    John B.:

Better look at the blog article, down the page from this one, where a gay man in Ireland opposes homosexual "marriage". What, coudln't keep him on you side?

So glad to see that NOM has a new FB page after what Louis has done. Disgraceful of Louis to attempt to hijack a well-respected page and mix his poison in among strong advocates and followers of God's plan for one man, one woman marriage! And WHY in the world with his turncoat beliefs would he even WANT to keep the same name "Protect Marriage: One Man, One Woman"??? Isn't that directly opposite of his current mindset? Doesn't make any sense at all. It won't take long for DOMA followers to figure out his evil deeds!

so true. Many gay people are appaulted at the agenda being pushed today on people who hold to a traditional lifestyle. It isn't fair to impose a gay lifestyle on elementary students. It isn't fair to impose it on society and call people "bigot's" who think marriage is one man and one woman as it always has been. As for this man Lous- what happened to the "born gay" idea?? If he was straight and now he's gay how did he get that way? I say he was an imposter all along and this is part of the whole plan. As someone else said- move on.

I appreciate the charity in Mr. Brown's statement towards Mr. Marinelli. I believe this charity is reflective in the movement here, and hope that all choose to reflect it also.

I think someone hacked your page. There are various words i.e. "melatonin" or "prozac" etc popping up in the articles.

Thanks for your strong stance on traditional marriage!
