    It's true. Denying marriage to gays and lesbians causes real problems that most of us can't even begin to imagine.

    @Jamie - The world's gone thousands and thousands of years wtihout changing the defintion of marriage to accomodate homosexuals. Removing homosexuality from the APA's list of mental illnesses is what has caused the many problems we face.

    Exactely what "problems" are we facing now that we know being gay isn't a mental illness.
    This is about commited, loving partners that want all the same legal rights and responsibilities that marriage affords. It's new, sure, but there's a first time for everything.
