Standing For Our Faith

National Organization for Marriage

Dear Marriage Supporter,

Right now, our friend Reverend Garland Hunt is preparing to lead the Standing for Our Faith Rally at the Georgia Capitol rotunda in support of Fire Chief Kelvin Cochran.

At the center of the controversy down in Atlanta is a man who has served as a public official with a sterling record; and who is suddenly deemed ‘unfit' for service because he wrote in a book that he believes the Biblical truth about marriage and sexuality.

It's ridiculous . . . it's a violation of our sacred first amendment . . . and it's happening more and more frequently . . .

So now is when you and I must draw a line in the sand and put a stop to it!

Won't you please renew your membership for 2015 by making a generous gift of $25 or more to NOM right away so we will have the resources to intervene and support ordinary Americans like Chief Cochran when they come under attack from vicious same-sex ‘marriage' bullies?

And if you respond to this email by renewing your membership with a gift, I will send you a copy of Chief Cochran's book, "Who Told You That You Are Naked?" which is at the heart of this "controversy."

I had the pleasure of meeting Chief Cochran recently and two things immediately struck me. First, this is a man of obvious faith and integrity. And second, he is clearly being targeting for believing that marriage is the union of one man and one woman.

Marriage Supporter, like you, it breaks my heart when I hear these stories . . . stories of ordinary Americans who love our country and serve it to the best of their ability — who are suddenly told that their service is not wanted any more . . . simply for the reason that they refuse to publicly acknowledge the lie that is same sex ‘marriage.'

Churches and people of faith built this country up, taking advantage of the incredible gift of religious liberty protected by our Constitution. Don't let these gifts be taken away from us!

Please act now. Renew your membership for 2015 by making a generous donation. And help NOM defend men and woman of faith all around the country from the attacks of intolerant, vicious bullies pushing a marriage redefinition agenda.

Thank you.

Faithfully,

Brian S Brown

PS: If you respond to this email by renewing your NOM membership for 2015 with a generous gift, I will send you a free copy of Fire Chief Cochran's book, "Who Told You That You Are Naked?" — a reflection on his faith and central beliefs about, among other things, marriage and family. Please stand with Chief Cochran and with NOM as we stand strong against the intolerant bullying of the radical left in their attempt to push a marriage redefinition agenda at all costs.
