Act Now – The People Deserve Their Say

National Organization for Marriage

Dear Marriage Supporter,

Please take a moment right now to do something important for marriage.

Urge the Governor of Missouri to request a stay of the decision by a State Judge handed down yesterday that would invalidate the marriage amendment that was passed by voters in 2004. The Governor and his administration must defend this measure vigorously and a stay should be obtained so that the legal process can be pursued in an orderly and dignified manner.

The people of Missouri deserve a fair hearing in court without the media spectacle of same-sex 'marriages' taking place in violation of the law which only one judge, in a skewed ruling, has decided against. The citizens of Missouri have every right to defend their freedom of self-determination in government and not have one judge's whim imposed on them. Unfortunately, Democrat Attorney General Chris Koster says he won’t request a stay so it falls to Governor Jay Nixon to do so.

Click here right away to stand in solidarity with Missourians and to demand a stay in this case, which is critical for the process of appeal to take place properly. Encourage the Governor and his administration to defend the law with vigor and to give the people of Missouri their due.

Thanks for your help with this important matter today.

Faithfully,

Brian S Brown
