Good News!

National Organization for Marriage

Dear Marriage Supporter,

I don't know if you heard the news that came out on Friday of last week, but a Federal judge in the state of Wisconsin has wisely stayed her ruling overturning the state's constitutional amendment defining marriage as the union of one man and one woman.

Her reasoning in staying the decision cited the Supreme Court issuing a stay in a similar case earlier this year, in Utah. Now Wisconsin joins Utah and many other states awaiting their day in court to defend their laws supporting marriage.

These cases will work their way through the system and eventually reach the Supreme Court — probably in the next 12 months. The Court will be faced with a pivotal decision ... they will decide whether to stand up for states' rights to regulate and define marriage... or whether to legislate from the bench, usurping the power of the people to decide these serious and controversial issues for themselves.

This is precisely why we're marching for marriage this week. On Thursday, we'll be gathering thousands of marriage supporters in our nation's capital in an historic, public display in defense of America's deeply held values: that marriage is the union of one man and one woman, and that children deserve both a mother and a father.

I'm asking you to please dig deep today and make a generous, tax-deductible donation to help us with our last minute promotional efforts to get the word out and bring as many people as possible to our nation's capital for this critical witness to the truth and beauty of marriage.

The Supreme Court will be watching, as they prepare to hear one of the many cases in the pipeline dealing with marriage. They need to see that the cause of marriage has its champions who will never give up the fight. Be one of those champions today, and make a generous donation to help ensure the March for Marriage is a historic success!

Faithfully,

Brian S Brown
