In the Wake of the Marriage Betrayal Another Indiana Legislature Steps Aside

Our friend Micah Clark from the American Family Institute of Indiana sent this note to us today highlighting the further fallout from the Indiana legislature’s betrayal of the people on the marriage issue.

Rep. Kreg Battles who flipped his past votes on marriage protection has unexpectedly resigned.

He was facing a huge battle in November with former Rep. Bruce Borders (R), a true pro-family conservative and the marriage issue was going to be a hot topic in the district. The IndyStar has more here. When will legislators learn that betraying the people and marriage is a losing political position? After what NOM and its allies did in the primaries in unseating two other turncoats and protecting marriage allies perhaps Representative Battles saw the writing on the wall.
