As Great Britain's government prepares to vote on a bill legalizing same-sex marriage, an official from the Secretary of State for Education's office reportedly has expressed trepidation toward the bill, arguing that primary school teachers in the country could possibly lose their jobs if they do not teach about gay marriage in the classroom.
One unnamed senior source from the office of Michael Gove, who serves as the country's current Secretary of State for Education, has recently said that ultimately the U.K. government is not in control, should a teacher lose their job for refusing to teach same-sex marriage, and the case would ultimately go to the European Court of Human Rights in Strasbourg, France, where the European Parliament is located.
... Additionally, those critical of the upcoming same-sex marriage bill argue that hospital chaplains and other people in authority may be faced with difficult decisions when their conscience conflicts with their work protocol.

"..could possibly..."?
I think we all know by now that would be a "certainty"!
One more reason to choose homeschooling, then you can be sure your children are being taught right.
How does one "teach gay marriage"?
I was unfortunate enough to have gone to public school where they never taught us about traditional marriage, but now they want to teach other peoples children about the acceptability of faux marriages...?
The lunatics have taken over the asylum.
#3 Bobby: You "teach homosexual marriage" by saying it exists, that it is okay and acceptable.
In reality, homosexuality is aberrant behavior.
It is immoral.
It is sin.
It is unnatural.
Homosexuals will not rest, will not compromise, will not tolerate any belief that is contrary to theirs.
It is coming to the point that it will be against the law to say ANYTHING against it. People better wake up and take a stand!
LR - Gay people exist. I have lived on 3 different continents and have met gay people on all 3. C'est la vie. Next things you know teachers will have to teach that the world is not flat.
Teaching that the world is flat is analogous with teaching that a brideless or groomless relationship is marital.
You dogma might stand, for a while, in some places, but it cannot overturn reality and reason. It might trample both, for a while, in some places, but it will be defeated because the SSM idea, a conceptual mess, is unsustainable except by unjust means.
The abuse of the school system by the SSM campaign is one of those unjust means quickly deployed by SSMers. It has occurred wherever SSM has been imposed -- including our northern neighbor where Catholic schools are warned that to teach Catholicism is to invite Government punishment.
Bobby, yes some folks are Gay but all of us were not sired by a Gay Father and a Gay Mother did not bear us. That's the problem.
