The RCC is opposed to SSM?? Who knew?
It's important that those of a faith follow it to their heart's content, but please don't impose it on others.
@George,
"It's important that those of a faith follow it to their heart's content, but please don't impose it on others."
Bur isn't that exactly what you are doing...?
@George Tell that to the educators in Canada, Scandinavia and England who are teaching kids in public schools that "being gay is okay, never mind what the church says" when they should be telling them that its a sin and the final destination is damnation. Look up "gay support groups" on google or at any school or library and u will get tons of "pro-gay" propaganda but people are never told of the alternatives like Courage apostolate, Exodus, Focus on the Family and many other groups. Samesex attracted young people, christian and atheist, need to be told about these groups in school. If not, then it is YOU who is imposing your beliefs on others
The archbishop is not "imposing" his views by exercising his free speech rights. People of faith and people of no faith have a right to make their case in the public square.
@Publius
You have to understand. If agree with the social left, then you are promoting free speech and enshrining the values the Founders put into the Constitution.
If you disagree, then you are an oppressive bigot who is imposing your values on others and you need to be silenced.
Zack,
Got it. Thanks.
Excellent! Thank you, Archbishop Sartain.
