The wife said: "It would almost feel like introducing the offspring of an adulterous relationship." Agreed, but I would remove the word "almost." It *is* adultery. The children that result from this husband's decision have a right to know their father. This is a correct change in the law concerning donor anonymity. And, yes, it will affect this family, exactly as an adulterous relationship would affect the family. The buying, selling and trading of human gametes is an ugly thing to behold.

We all understand this woman's issue, because marriage is about the procreative nature of men and women. Marriage attempts to ensure that a child conceived by a couple will be raised by that couple, and it assures that children born will have their mom and dad.

Using a married man's sperm to conceive a child with another woman is akin to adultery; it intentionally separates children from their parents.
