Brian Brown on FoxNews: Romney Is Pro-Marriage

John Roberts of Fox News reports:

Our President Brian Brown tells him about Romney's record on marriage:

"If you go back to Massachussetts some people want to say '[Romney] wasn't strong on [marriage]' -- if you actually look at what he did he stood up for a state constitutional amendment. He's always said he knows in his heart that marriage is the union of a man and a woman that it's in the best interest of his state and of the country."

Yes, Ron Paul has said the same thing.

Romney may be pro-marriage now, but I wouldn't look to his record to prove it.

I think what we will see in the next few decades after this year is the country systematically breaking up.

The culturally conservative states of Heartland and South may secede and form their own country where as states in the New England region may be form their own or become the newest addition to Canada. With California...well they'll either go back to Mexico, be bought by China or become abandoned.

The country is becoming increasingly balkanized and it's getting to the point where it won't be sustained any longer.

    Zack,

    First, secession is illegal. See Texas v. White, 74 U.S. 700 (1869).

Second, American values no longer fit a directly halved sectional line. If we'd broke up, we might end up looking like the Kingdom of Lesotho.

Well, I won't wade into the secession discussion, as I hope it is merely an academic exercise....

But Dovie E. is certainly right about Romney's record. It's pretty bad. He pro forma expressed support for a state amendment in MA but all of his actions while governor of that state paint a totally different picture. Amy Contrada's book "Mitt Romney's Deception" is packed with documentation about Romney's pro-homosexual lobby record as governor. Let me just cite the most egregious example: Romney, in his capacity as governor, ordered all MA marriage licenses to remove the terms "husband" and "wife" and to be replaced by "Party A" and "Party B."

A choice between Obama and Romney on marriage is kind of like choosing between Hitler and Stalin--who killed fewer millions?
