Police and fire crews closed down the Chick-fil-A on Foxcroft Avenue in Martinsburg for nearly three hours following a bomb threat that was called in just before 1 p.m. today.
The caller mentioned that a "device" had been placed within the restaurant. The building was evacuated, but was deemed safe at about 3:45 p.m. after no bomb or any other type of device was discovered.
Martinsburg City Police and the Martinsburg Fire Department personnel investigated the scene, along with Berkeley County Sheriff Kenny Lemaster. A National Park Ranger with a canine unit arrived at the scene at approximately 2:45 p.m. to assist, and a second from the West Virginia State Police arrived later as well.

Tolerance. Good grief.
The Haters are out again.
The LGBT community and their supporters have only one form of communication HATE.
And they do it well. Pure hate, that warms their bellies.
LGBT = HATE
LGBT community = HATE community
I would of never suggested such a thing, but they insist that it be so.
Keep it up LGBT. It's gonna blow right back in your face..again.
Do any of you bigots have ANY evidence what so ever, save your fervent anti-gay imaginations, to support the repeated contention that this bomb threat was phoned in by an LGBT person?
Keep it up, tolerance bullies. Michelle Malkin tweeted this stream of LGBT tolerance fail today:
http://twitchy.com/2012/08/01/libs-support-chick-fil-a-appreciation-day-because-bible-thumpers-might-choke-on-their-food/
Nothing like looking all that love in the face and seeing it for what it is.
Marie, I actually laughed at all the comments cited in Michelle's article. Once again, the love and tolerance crowd goes on a hateful, foul-mouthed, cyber-rampage wishing death upon people. They are sooooo ticked about Chick-Fil-A's success. It irritates them seeing so many people come out and support Dan Cathy.
I'm not exactly shocked by the bomb threat, but I'm glad everyone is safe. SSMers had to do something quick in order to disrupt a CFA location. I guess they realized the "kiss-ins" were going to flop. They couldn't let the day go unperturbed with CFA raking in record profits, and the American people giving a symbolic middle finger to all of the elites who came down on CFA.
To John Colgan: Do you realize that it is you that is sounding bigoted? (Bigot: a person who is intolerantly devoted to his opinion)
John Colgan: What bomb threat? The call mentioned a 'device', not a 'bomb'; but the fire station had to treat it as a bomb threat, just in case.
So, you are asking for proof it was an LBGTPQRST Bacon-Lettuce-and-Tomato person who made the 'bomb' threat?
Hello! As if the coward was to reveal his/her/TLGBTRSF identity. All one has to do is call from a public phone, and mention a 'device' left at the restaurant. It will be believed as a matter of protocol, if a real fire happens elsewhere, the firemen would be overtaxed (no pun intended).
Your type just made the restaurant nationally super famous... Who ever heard of Martinsburg? The joke's on you.
I hereby submit that whoever uses any variant of "tolerance" in an argument automatically loses. It's the intolerance of intolerance rabbit hole that distracts from debating the true facts and virtues of each side of the argument. To me, it just sounds like the grown-up, fingers-in-ear version of "I know you are, but what am I?"
@ Cameron, I know you are, but what am I?
(You got it Cameron, That is their game, and its not a game. And they are using it in a very serious and masterful way. Asking them to stop doing so, is like asking them to put down their only weapon in the middle of a battle.
Most 'national opinion changes' in America are brought about in this simplistic (psychologically manipulative) way, for expediency and simplicity sake. The problem they're having this time, is that this one just hits too close to home! What to do? What to do? Keep at them, with everything we've got. I think...)
