Brazilian psychologists are seeking to revoke the license of a therapist for publicly affirming her Christian beliefs on her online blog and twitter accounts, an action that the organization claims violates its code of ethics.
Marisa Lobo, a psychologist and Evangelical who has published several popular works on psychological issues, sends Twitter messages to her thousands of followers under the title “Christian Psychology,” and maintains a website with the same name.
The Federal Council of Psychology (CFP), which has the power to regulate the activities of psychologists in Brazil, informed Lobo in February through its affiliate in the state of Paraná that she had 15 days to remove any indication of an association between her psychology practice and her religious beliefs from her website, or risk losing her license to practice.
Lobo’s posts and tweets often conflict with the sexually libertine and left-wing ideology espoused by the CFP, including denunciations of homosexual adoption, and support for sexual orientation change therapy. She claims that the process against her was spurred by complaints from homosexuals, especially regarding her opposition to the “gay kit,” a set of highly explicit materials which was to be distributed to children in public schools in 2011 as an “anti-homophobia measure.” However, the program was suspended due to public outrage.

The good news is that it looks like the Brazilian legal group views the actions of the CFP as unconstitutional, and Congress is also taking note.
That sounds kinda ridiculous--a psychologist can't express a Christian message on their pages and blogs. Some people may seek her services just for the purpose of having a Christian professional working with them. And I'm sure if she accepted a client who does not share her faith that she wouldn't try to proselytize.
I hope all goes well for Ms. Lobo. When will homosexual activists respect the rights of others to attempt to change their sexual attractions and lifestyles?
I am afraid the US is heading in the same direction. What's wrong is right and what's right is wrong.
Spiritual wickedness in high places.
it is so shamful that the world is trying its best to rid it of all that is good and right by Gods hand! The end must be getting a lot closer! So sad!

Probably never as they do everything possible to deny that there are ex gays. The former homosexaualists prove that the born this way is a lie.
The same thing is happening in the US in greater frequency. Brian Camenker of MassResistance and Dr. Scott Lively have been targeted by the homofascists for their activities in exposing the dark side of the gay radical movement. Phony multi-million dollar lawsuits have been filed against them to destroy their work and ministries. Anyone who opposes these folks are slandered, humiliated and even their homes are vandalized and families threatened - all in the name of tolerance. The response by 95% of the Christian community is silence.
She should be commended for her willingness to stand for truth!
When will black people stop complaining they are born that way? Michael Jackson proved you CAN change your skin color
If acting on homosexual attraction was considered an outrage due to man-boy love by priests and coaches, and it was covered up for decades, the psychological community might need to be thinking about being more tolerant of those who question group think. Who's interests are they really trying to protect? Their own interests, or the interests of children?
Because psychology is an 'inexact' science (working via questionaires and observation of very variable people), along with Psychiatry it can be monopolized by a particular political inclination. Of course, at that point its power of predictability is much reduced, and is no longer a science. It turns into mere 'educated guesses' as some are willing to reveal. All sciences have politics, though, and the politics usually have to do with grant money, a rare luxury.
One aspect of this take-over by new and intolerant paradigms (all paradigms tend to be intolerant of the competitor paradigms) is seen in the education of the young, specifically in the educating the young as to discipline.
"Discipline' does not mean punishment. It means being systematic and consistent developing skills towards a goal. Discipline is part of an education, for without it no education is possible.
The motivation for discipline for the youngster's own good (as interpreted by the adult parents or guardians) can be in the form of physical punishment in various degrees. The modern paradigms of child education try to be novel or 'more understanding' by decrying physical punishment. Then the physical punishment can turn back on the parent or guardian, requiring lots of time and involvement to gain very little discipline in the case of the strong-willed child.
Some children are happy to depend on the parents or guardians, but some are the strong willed type and incredibly dominant. With no physical punishment in various degrees, the strong willed child will basically take over the parent(s). If the parents don't spend much time with their kids, to educate them, the modern paradigm of child-rearing will have its consequences for the parents.
The new paradigm in this respect decries physical punishment. Why? It was certainly abused on some cases. But the real reason is: selling the new paradigm, where the money is.
To look 'progressive' you have to think yourself above the old ways. But then, you get the consequences when the method fails. I think modern paradigms are responsible for the generation gap, so prevalent in America. It affects marriage in great ways. A single mom with a couple of self-centered brats has less of a chance to get married again.
"The response by 95% of the Christian community is silence."
If any so-called Christian is silent in the face of this Gay Fascist movement, then they will answer for the silence.
But 5% is more than enough.
Five per cent is more than Gideon had.
"When will black people stop complaining they are born that way? Michael Jackson proved you CAN change your skin color"
Science has shown that melanin in the skin is connected to our genes, unlike homosexuality. Besides, skin color is a physical trait while homosexuality is a behavior. Apples and Oranges.

Some-a us certainly are carrying much more of the load than others. They are the ones who sit around the campfire, warm and toasty, while we go out and collect the kindling.
But SOMEBODY gotta stand up. When the whistle blows, you know where to find me -- right in the middle of the play.
She's a psychologist who LIES TO CLIENTS to HARM THEM for PAY.
License revoked? Where are the criminal charges? She's guilty of fraud, at the very LEAST.
Tell me, if you people are supposedly all for Christian values, than how come none of you ever find a person who actually follows, say, the Ten Commandments or the teachings of CHRIST--y'know, the DEFINITION of Christian values?--to be at all tolerable?
If somebody EVER chooses to NOT bear false witness, you hate that person.
So it's proven that you don't actually give a damn about Christianity... what IS you motivation? Are you fueled by solid chunks of evil and hate?
Seriously, the idea of a villain who actually treats evil as a motivation rather than having a motivation and being willing to harm others to pursue it... in fiction, we call that unrealistic storytelling. But you exist. FOR REALS.
NOM's followers are almost evidence that there is no God...

Scoffers never do get it right.
The definition of "Christian values" does not include following The Ten Commandments. The Christian knows, as God tells him, that he cannot follow all the Law, that he needs Grace through Christ. Grace does NOT come through the Law which is the "ministration of condemnation" and death, for "the letter kills."
Therefore, those who are born again are not under Law, rather under Grace.
We follow the teachings of Christ. However, nobody is perfect. We want to follow Him exactly, but we make mistakes. We have His Grace.
