Of course he's taking the black vote for granted. The Democratic Party in general takes their voting blocs for granted.
How much abuse can people take? Use me once, shame on you...etc.
Withholding a vote by staying home is a start, but I'd much rather see folks taking a stronger stand by pledging to vote for Romney. Many probably will do just that.
Way to go Rev. That you for the back bone to say to the black community what I have been say all along. The fraud doesn't give a rat's ice tea about blacks or whites in this country, perverts as well. However he is using all to be able to put his muslin murders in our Government, he is well on the way to making that happen thanks to sorry blacks and whites that only care about what they can get without working for it. On the other hand blacks have been brained washed to think the democrat party cares for them and will eventually been their ticket to take over the US along with their brown brothers and sisters. Ain't going to happen but the blacks will continue to follow that carrot that's always just out of reach generation after generation.
Leonard, you sound crazy -- take a look over what you just wrote. Obama, you may be surprised to find out, is a Christian. His landmark bill, Obamacare, will make it possible for millions of poor people all across the country (black, white, and any other color, but disproportionately black) to get health insurance and access to preventive health care. What are you talking about?
Thank you Leonard, the truth sometimes hurts but is not crazy. I hope you had the opportunity to watch the great videos by the black representative Alan West ( see previous blogs). It is blacks such as him and Thomas Sowell who know what they are talking about.
I live in MA, so I already know that Mitt Romney will make a great president and does care about blacks more so that Obama. His MA record speaks for itself. Here is hoping he choses Condi Rice as his running mate.
People of all colors and backgrounds need to stand on their own principles and values and not band with others for any reason other than the content of their hearts and minds. Black people have all too long followed the majority without maintaining independent thoughts. While this was understandable 100 years ago, it will not stand in our current culture where secularism has gone amuck.
@Jon
Obamacare will not drive down the cost of insurance. No one has explained how poor people are going to afford it. It cuts 500 billion dollars out of medicare which is something a lot of people rely on and is projected to cost 2.6 trillion over the next 10 years. And at the time of its passage, we were told it was only going to cost 900 billion.
It also institutes over 650 billion dollars in taxes to fund it. Most of that tax burdern falls on middle income earners.
It's unconstitutional(regardles of what John Roberts said), it's destructive as it has already gutted one government program, and only a fraction of the uninsured will actually get coverage.
Black children need role models who believe in
strong family values to get ahead in life today.
Jon, if Obama is so Christian, why did he legally have his named changed from Barry Soetoro to Barack Obama? That is actually a very Muslim thing to do!
Bill Owens is not alone. A growing number of black pastors are speaking up to oppose, not Obama, but his pro-abortion, anti-marriage agenda. They've seen the devastation in the black community caused by out of wedlock births and the highest abortion rate outside of China and the former Soviet Union -- at least 18 million -- or half the current black population. In NYC, there are now more abortions than deaths from all other causes, and the black birth rate has been cut in half since 1990. As a result, it's unlikely there will ever be another black mayor. More and more blacks are recognizing that they've been sold out by the likes of Sharpton and Jackson. Meanwhile, NYC is becoming a virtual pro-abortion police state with a black abortion rate of 60% of live births. You can't do that and still survive as a healthy, thriving community.
Yea, Ben Jealous (current President of the NAACP) has a bother who is participating in the homosexual lifestyle, so he was all to eager to do a cloak and dagger vote behind closed doors against the majority of the rank and file's wishes in the name of 'standing with the President'.
As a Black person, I can say that the NAACP has been a joke in the Black community for at least the last decade. People like Jessie Jackson and Al Sharpton are seen as old timers still trying to be seen and make a buck (although, we do respect some of the work they did back in the day when Blacks were under attack by KKK, the government, Jim Crow laws, Nixon, etc. (I mean Al Sharpton barely got any Black votes when he was running for President).
Now the NAACP is irrelevant and does not represent the Black community. You would be hard pressed to find the NAACP pushing any issue of substance to minority communities.
The number 1 cause of death to Blacks is abortion and yet, the NAACP is silent on the number 1 murderer of Blacks
Most Blacks have left the liberal (socially) ideology of the Democratic party and have returned to church to try to restore and instill the fabric of the family.
So yea, because of the harsh treatment from Republicans in the South, many blacks will never vote Republican (at least until there is a serious outreach and connection on a Frederick Douglas kind of level), but many certainly will not go against the teachings of Christ so they will stay home and no longer support Pres Obama.
"So yea, because of the harsh treatment from Republicans in the South, many blacks will never vote Republican."
Hey Willing, what exactly do you mean by this? I hope you're not confused and referring to the Southern democrats who started and were the membership of the KKK; Bull Connor and all the police with the attack dogs and the fire hoses who were also all democrats.
Republicans were always a minority party nearly everywhere in the south. It constantly amazes me that people don't know that the whole bigotry/discrimination thing was foisted onto the GOP by the democrats who were actually the guilty party. Most black people like Martin Luther King and his father were originally republicans!!! Look it up. I can never figure out how we can have a whole Black History month and yet nobody seems to know this.
