CP: 20,000 Sign Boycott of General Mills Over Gay Marriage

The Christian Post:

What do home improvement supplies, coffee, and cereal have to do with the gay marriage debate? Although at first glance the answer would be nothing, there is a strong connection. General Mills, one of the world's largest food companies, has weighed in on the gay marriage debate, joining Home Depot and Starbucks, among other powerful companies, in support of redefining marriage.

The National Organization for Marriage, a non-profit group that advocates for the protection of traditional marriage, has gathered over 20,000 signatures on its petition against General Mills' public opposition to the marriage amendment in Minnesota this November, which would define marriage as between one man and one woman. Those who signed the petition,Dump General Mills, vowed to boycott the company's products over its position on the marriage issue.

... NOM had previously led a similar campaign against Starbucks that has to date over 45,000 signatures. And last year, the American Family Association rallied over half a million people to commit to boycotting Home Depot over its support of homosexual activism.

Make a pro-marriage statement by signing the pledges at www.dumpstarbucks.com and www.dumpgeneralmills.com.

Meanwhile, more than 80,000 people have signed the Thank You General Mills petition, and the Thank You Starbucks petition has gotten over 650,000 signatures.

    Great work, NOM.

It is important that consumers know exactly what choices they have, once corporations start funding the enemies of their children's right to be educated in the truth concerning marriage.

The truth concerning marriage is this:

Marriage is the stable, long term union of man and woman, which union best provides for the procreation and nurture of children- society's most basic and irreducible good.

A sane civilization protects and fosters marriage.

A deeply disoriented and confused civilization redefines it out of existence.

We'll see, this November, which kind of civilization we are.

That's okay; NOM doesn't have any need for actual, valid news.

NOM is interested in the actual, valid news which will be reported concerning the Minnesota Marriage Amendment on Election Night.

It is NOM's intention to extend the string of thirty three consecutive electoral defeats of the same sex marriage scam that night.

    Hmmm.

Maybe this time it will be good news for you, RC?

    Heh heh heh. :-)

Can anyone tell me what chicken filet sandwiches have to do with the gay marriage debate?

Chicken "filet" sandwiches wouldn't normally have anything to do with the gay marriage debate.

But in the case of Chick-fil-A, one buys processed chicken sandwiches (which is why I put "filet" in quotes) and part of the revenue stream goes to fund anti-gay causes under the guise of Christian charity.

Given that we're discussing this in this particular thread, I want to point out that I don't believe Chick-fil-A has issued a "core values" statement against marriage equality as General Mills and Starbucks have in favor of it.

All of these boycotts are automatic successes. They bring to the attention of the American values voter the identities of corporations which are actively subverting their religious freedom and parental authority, as well as the innocence of their children.

Gay pseudo-marriage laws inevitably create the conditions under which children are indoctrinated in homosexualist values.

None of these corporations should receive a penny from us.

Man, I am hungry for a chicken fillet sandwich!

I have boycotted now for 3 weeks since I heard general mills supports gay marriage. We spend lots of money on cereal and other products of yours but will not touch anything sold by your company or any affiliate of yours
