On Wednesday, Fox & Friends host Steve Doocy interviewed a 16-year-old conservative teen on her political beliefs, as well as the backlash she’s received for them. “She’s conservative, she’s christian and she’s only 16 years old,” said Doocy, introducing Madeleine McAulay. “But when it comes to politics, this North Carolina teenager is certainly not afraid to speak her mind. [...] Referred to as the teenage political maverick, it’s no surprise that the 16-year-old is being followed by none other than her political idol, Sarah Palin.”
....Doocy then turned to the reaction the teen received after posting a video about same-sex marriage in her home state on her website, FaithHopeAndPolitics.com.
“Within, I think, two days,” she said, “I had over 1,000 views. And, you know, the hatred and the vile, vulgar, disgusting comments started coming in and over the past few days, they have gotten totally extreme and completely inappropriate.”
“Well, they are inappropriate,” Doocy agreed, “and I was looking at your website last night and, well, there were some death threats there.”
“Yes. That was the first time yesterday that I had ever received, you know, kind of death wishes and that was quite interesting, to get that feeling,” she told him.

Get used to it Maddy, as this is just normal everyday behavior from the 'TOLERANT" left and the homosexual followers. Just another day at the office.
All of us commentors here at these blogs can attest to that. Be strong, stand firm, and be vigilant in your faith.
Great work, Madeleine. You're a breath of fresh air
Excellent video. The young girl is intelligent and articulate. Good for her and very telling about the inappropriate responses from the opposers.
As a (play on words here) left handed gay man, I apologize for the hate you’ve received because of your video. You have the right and are free to post whatever you want. It’s sad that you’ve received death threats just because of what you believe, even if that belief is shrouded in half truths. I’m sure you can tell others on the “right” who’ve have hateful remarks and death threats to the LGBT community, it SUCKS!!! HOWEVER, you speak of “traditional” and Biblical marriages. Let’s just recap some of the traditional and Biblical marriages taken straight from the Bible! Marriage has been between one man and one women, one man and 700 women (King Solomon), one man and the virgin he raped (Deuteronomy 22:28-29), one man and his sister (Genesis 20:12) and the help (Genesis 16:3), etc., for at least 5000 years. These are all Biblical facts. AND don't give me that that was the "old" testament. So were the creation story and the 10 commandments. You can’t pick and choose.
Yes we do take the whole bible as truth including the book of Revelation where it says, cowards, liars, homosexuals, adulterers etc. will all take their part in the lake of fire. Your fight is not with us down here it is with the God who created you. Fight Him.
Fantastic theological rebuttal, David. ( Cough...)
Thank you David ..for re capping the ENTIRE Bible ..so absolutely clearly ..so that everyone can fully understand all the dynamics of the entire scriptures and complete work ! ...But you also have picked out your favorites ..and just read them out the way you see them ...if you took the time and actually tried to understand the truths of the ENTIRE Bible ...maybe it would make more sense to you ..and so many who do NOT understand it ! Since you pointed out all the SINS of man ( NOT GOD ) ..I will help you understand ..that The Old Testament is there for just that reason ..to SHOW us ..that WE have always and will always be sinners ..and could never ever come close to God because of it ..HE SHOWS US THIS THROUGH THE WRITINGS OF THE OLD TESTAMENT !!! thats the whole point of it ..that WE NEED A SAVIOR ! OLD Testament point 1 ...New Testament HE GAVE US JESUS ..point 2 ..all your doing is pointing out the sins we all as Christians ..already agree that we are and we do ..the difference is ..we admit it ..and accept God's gift of the Savior Jesus to pay our debt in full and help us change our ways ...YOU refuse the gift .... and point out facts from a book you don't have a clue about how it works Try first asking God to take your scales off ..and ask Him to guide you to a scripture you will understand ..and go from there ! God Bless You ! I pray He takes your hand and your heart !
I think it is unfortunate that this young woman has received nasty threats. Those of us who believe in marriage equality should not engage in such behavior.
Keep up the good work Madeleine. I will lift you up in prayer every day. Those that hate you, hate Jesus, the one you represent. If they don't repent , their sad day is coming.
Thank you what a lovely pleasant, well spoken young woman. I am sorry what you have endured. Unfortunately the most unpleasant activists hide behind their computer and say vulgar things to teenagers. I know a few of my friends suffered relentless attacks because of their stand on marriage. Just remember to keep all those nasty comments in a file,we need to show the world how aggressive they are.
How refreshing to hear such eloquence from an intelligent teenager! Many of our teenagers are shut out of discussions some people think they have no business discussing. Keep up the good work, follow your heart and your convictions. You not only can appeal to your peers but to some of us "old folks" too. I will pray for your safety and endurance in this fight with the devils in our world.
What an amazing, articulate young woman! If this is an example of the youth in North Carolina ~ that state is in for a beautiful future!! Thank you for your courage in standing up for your beliefs. I do indeed hope you will someday run for political office.
An intelligent, young, conservative woman. I love it!
Politics can be nasty. But I don't think we are giving due credit to SSMers on their ability to go deep into the gutter. I'm sure, at times, this Madeleine finds that certain political ads, debate statements, etc. are uncalled for. Yet, I'm also sure that the nastiness, hatred, and verbal violence of SSMers towards her was beyond the pale of the heated political discourse that can arise in the normal course of things.
God bless, Madeleine. I know she's a rising star. I think I need to check out her blog myself, considering that I so enjoyed listening to her interview.
