300+ Coloradans Rally Under Theme "Loving All, Protecting Marriage"

Karla Dial at CitizenLink:

More than 300 people turned out on the west side of the Colorado Capitol building today for a rally celebrating another victory for marriage, after state lawmakers killed a bill seeking to establish same-sex civil unions.

Legislators and pastors alike spoke at the gathering, urging pro-family advocates — who wore white T-shirts proclaiming “Loving All, Protecting Marriage” — to continue to stay vigilant and active.

Though a committee voted the bill down 5-4 along party lines Monday, it could re-emerge in a different form as long as the Legislature remains in a special session, which Gov. John Hickenlooper called after the civil-unions bill failed to reach the House floor for a vote last week.

... State Rep. Robert Ramirez said that for every email or phone call he received from constituents asking him to pass the civil-unions legislation, he received 35 from people asking him not to.

Better to give all citizens equal legal rights, including the right to marry the person they love. If marriage was about children, I could maybe see denying marriage rights to gays and lesbians. But obviously, it's not, so why not just give all loving committed couples the right to marry?

I hate to be the voice of reason here but as far as marrying who you love no matter what, you may have heard about this little disease, it's called AIDS?

    The verb "to pervert" means

    - to turn away from the right course
    - to lead astray morally or to corrupt
    - to turn from the proper to an improper use or purpose

The act of promoting men having sex with men to the public is perverse, therefore, whether one engages in the act or not.

This is because (1) it turns developing youth from the right course (2) its leads astray and morally corrupts developing youth, and (3) it turns developing youth from the proper use of the body to an improper use.

The verb "to pervert" accurately describes whoever votes to legitimize queer sex marriage to developing youth.

Perverted sex should not be sanctioned by public law because that would create a morally toxic society for developing youth.

Marriage of a Man and a Woman allows children of the union protection (ie, home, food, clothing, schooling etc). It gives children a biological connection to a Mother and a Father and the proper role models. It is not just a loving relationship but a life long partnership raising a family.

The gay lifestyle is immoral, unhealthy, and destructive. Numerous scientific studies have shown the debilitating effects of the lifestyle. A recent 2010 report from CDC (Center for Disease Control) in U.S. declared an epidemic rise of HIV/AIDS among the youth in the gay population. These same youth who do not know or care to know that they are infected are spreading this disease to heterosexual population through the bisexuals.http://youtu.be/lSTCO-5soVE . See CDC website on MSM (Men Having Sex with Men).

Hello, Craig. Can you think of any way we can promote and encourage commitment and monogamy?
