DumpStarbucks.com: UK Edition

The UK Christian Institute:

The Starbucks coffee giant says redefining marriage is one of its “core” values, and an international boycott has been launched against the company.

The boycott has been organised by American-based campaign group the National Organization for Marriage (NOM), which has set up the dumpstarbucks.com website.

Director of NOM’s Corporate Fairness Project, Jonathan Baker, said Starbucks’ support for same-sex marriage goes beyond a mere statement from an executive.

“The support is not just the personal endorsement of a senior executive, but is the official corporate position of the company,” he said.

“Obviously this position does not reflect the views of all customers and employees and the NOM protest and dumpstarbucks.com is designed to enable these customers and employees to have a voice.”

... The boycott has so far attracted the support of over 36,000 people.

What's up with this paper that they're running a 3-month old story?

I think what Starbucks actually said was equal legal treatment of all citizens was one of its core values. They never said anything about redefining marriage, just extending marriage rights to gays and lesbians.

That's exactly what they said. Nothing about redefining or abandoning marriage. Same as Microsoft, Nike, amazon, Google, Apple, the list goes on and on.

The traditional definition of marriage will not co-exist beside the new fake "marriage." It will be displaced and replaced by the new definition, regardless of what Stefanie and her ilk says.

Typical socilaist double talk from the enemies of freedom. Send the message; be vocal in your opposition to Starbucks.

Jim,"gays and lesbians" HAVE marriage rights under the existing definition (partners required to be of opposite sexes).Turning marriage from an implementation of the state interest in guaranteeing opposite-sex relationships the preference to which their being opposite-sex entitles them into something more to the liking of "gays and lesbians" IS redefining it.
