Pro Wrestler Tells Marriage Supporter: "Kill Yourself" (and Worse)

LifeSiteNews:

WWE wrestling superstar C.M. Punk strikes an aggressive pose inside the ring, but it seems he saved his hardest blows for supporters of the traditional family.

On Monday, the grappler told his Twitter followers he opposed North Carolina’s constitutional amendment to define marriage as the union of one man and one woman, which passed in a landslide on Tuesday.

One of his followers responded, “Man was meant for woman, and even the thought of homo’s make me sick.” Punk thenreplied, “Kill yourself.”

He told another supporter of the nuclear family to “drink bleach.”

... In another tweet, Punk castigated the amendment’s supporters as “So many stupid people. Bigots. Talking about what’s ‘natural.’”

Ironically, he later posted a message stating, “I am a star. I’m fighting bigots here. Zero tolerance.”

The measure, he wrote, “is ridiculous.” He added, “The human race is embarrassing. #evolve.”

The 33-year-old, born Philip Jack Brooks, is one of the most popular wrestlers in the WWE.

I denounce this wrestler's comments However, it sounds like he was responding to somecomments that were also pretty despicable

A pro boxer was quoted the other day as stating that gay people should be killed You did not condemn those remarks How about a little consistency?

Said pro wrestler has since apologized for these comments and admitted he was wrong to have said them.

Also agree with the poster above about condemning the other boxer as well.

Frequent NOM commentor, victor golf Charles, on may 2 tweeted, @gayasianmen Get lynched.

But it's fine when NOM people advocate violence. right? NOM: not in favor of anti-gay violence, but #1 with violent anti-gay people.

He brought it upon himself. No doubt anyone following him on Twitter did so because they are fans of his pro-wrestling persona, not his political views.

Rwgardless if where one stands on the issue, "death talk" is completely unacceptable. Its middle school behavior

I know that I, for one, have condemned violence by either side in previous posts. So say what you will about NOM being "#1 with violent anti-gay people", but it simply isn't true. You may not have noticed, but actually, some of the things I take the time to write I've done so only because I do care and believe changed behavior is possible.

No fan of wrestling, but this guy loses most of the matches he enters. His words hold no weight.

And another thing: my name is not "Victor Golf Charles." It's Victor Golf Charles. The difference is in the wording -- it's a proper name, not a title.
