Brian Brown in CNN: North Carolina's Gay Marriage Vote Spells the End of Obama

Our President Brian Brown's exclusive op-ed with CNN:

North Carolina is so important to the re-election chances of Barack Obama that he picked Charlotte as the host city for the Democratic nominating convention.

On May 8, all his careful plans came crashing down when 61% of voters in a North Carolina referendum adopted a constitutional amendment defining marriage as the union of one man and one woman.

... Obama's embrace of same-sex marriage will help ensure he becomes a one-term president, and his political demise will begin with North Carolina.

Despite what many in the media claim, the American people do not support same-sex marriage. They sure as heck don't in North Carolina, where voters made it clear they want to prevent activist judges and politicians like Obama from redefining marriage.

The National Organization for Marriage, which I head, helped lead the North Carolina campaign. Our victory for marriage was so impressive that the prominent Democratic Public Policy Polling firm sent out this Twitter missive as the results came in: "Hate to say it, but I don't believe polls showing majority support for gay marriage nationally. Any time there's a vote, it doesn't back it up."

Brian, I think you're getting a little ahead of yourself.

Same-sex Marriage will definitely be a factor in Obama's defeat, but in no way will it be the deciding one. I'm sure that he has hurt his chances in several swing states especially in the Conservative state of North Carolina and maybe even Pennsylvania, Ohio and Florida.

But I won't go so far as to say that because he took this stance that he's all of a sudden done for. Let's not forget, 49% of the country doesn't pay any income tax, now couple that with the people who are going to vote for him no matter what and are dependent on the government and you've got yourself a tough race.

    DofE,

Someday when you have the courage to look in the mirror, you will shocked at what you see.
There is no 'Babel' in the bible.
Still making stuff up, just like this whole issue.
If y'all could get over your blatant and obvious hate, you just might see that this a civil rights issue. It has nothing to do with marriage or religion. Nothing. You are just making it be so to hide your blatant and obvious hate. Seriously. We do not vote on civil rights issues, they are a non-issue. Move on.

Add the marriage issue to Nobama's many other debacles and failures of leadership, and this may be the straw that broke the camel's back.

Protect marriage and the right to life. There are some excellent BYU law school graduates that will make excellent Supreme Court Justices.

A new ABC News poll has shown a dramatic change in the way African Americans think about SSM, since Obama's support announcement. Before: 70% dissapprove of legal recognition.
After: 65% approve of legal recognition.
MAJOR turnaround, and the first "consequence" of the prezes' new stance.

    I give you Genesis 11: 8-9, KJV:

"8 So the Lord scattered them abroad from thence upon the face of all the earth: and they left off to build the city.

9 Therefore is the name of it called BABEL; because the Lord did there confound the language of all the earth: and from thence did the Lord scatter them abroad upon the face of all the earth."

I give you the Voting Rights Act of 1965. Involved some voting to get it passed.

E needs to look up the Voting Rights Act of 1965 by the 89th U.S. Congress, and involved a vote to get it passed.

I'm very curious, I wonder how many blacks voted in the recent election in NC. It does bother me when suddenly polls start appearing making all types of claims with no basis whatsoever. The media is truly more bigotted than just about any group of people. O'bama has to know very well, that most of the blacks do not go along with his forced social laws!
