National Journal: Democrats Having Second Thoughts About Charlotte?
National Journal:
Democrats who already were queasy about the site of their national convention could be excused after Tuesday's election in North Carolina if they asked, "Tell me again just why we're going to Charlotte this year?" In fact, many Democrats privately are asking exactly that after the state's voters overwhelmingly approved a measure outlawing not just same-sex marriage -- which already was illegal in North Carolina -- but also any form of civil unions. Almost immediately after the vote, more than 20,000 people signed a "move the convention" petition being pushed by a New York group called Gay Marriage USA. And Twitter accounts lit up with hundreds of angry tweets demanding the party pull out of Charlotte.

I hope the Democrats move the convention - it would demonstrate to the casual observer 1) How people who reject Genderless Marriage will be punished.
2) Just how beholden the Democrats are to Homosexual Money, and the power of the Gay Lobby.
Too late for the Dems to move the convention.
Far better for them to convene in the very state that was just told that its votes don;t mean a hoot to the Cash Bundler In Chief.
Why not move the convention to Sodom as that city openly embraced the practice of Sodomy.
I think San Francisco is already booked up for that week, John.......
As if there's another state where they know for a fact a majority of the populace actually wants ssm... yeah, right. We already know 31 of the 50 don't...and counting. So, if they are going to base the venue of their convention on whether that state has moved to protect marriage, that pool is drying up. In a few more years as the rest of the states move to protect marriage, they'll be completely out of possible venues, at least here in America anyway.
Well John and Rick, you are showing your true colors.
100% homophobic. Not only can you not stomach the thought of men being intimate with men, or woman with woman, the thought of marriage throws you both over the edge. Do you personally know any Gays? And I ask that honestly. But that you're just so incredibly hophobic is bizarre to me. Out of curiosity, in what part of the country do you live?
I meant homophobic the second time
Umm, excuse me Stefan, could you please take just a moment and fully internalize a few things?
Sodomy is a mortal sin.
Anyone who practices it, absent sacramental repentance or perfect contrition, is eternally damned.
The question of marriage is entirely unrelated to this theological truth.
Hope this helps.
Rick, after reading your comment, it does help, not surprisingly.
Glad to help, Stefan.
I guess the Dems will have to bus in their own hookers.

There are those of us who understand human anatomy and biology. We understand that the male part goes with the female part. Two males cannot mate biologically no matter what the effort.
There are those of us who understand that the anus is the lower end of the human digestive system and is not to used for anal sex. The medical and biological evidence on this is there for all open hearts and minds to see which Stefan does not have.
There are sound reasons not to have men intimate with men. It leads to AIDS, sickness, and death and costs the rest of us who do not particate in this perversion of our bodies a fortune.
Stefan: you are the homo-phobic ("homo" = man; phobos=fear). Fear of man; not us. We get along just fine.
Barb, you are hilarious!
Marriage licenses are issued by the state, not the church. No religion is necessary for a marriage to be legal or recognized. No deity must be honored for a marriage to be valid. No church ceremony must be preformed in order for a marriage legal. No procreation is necessary for a marriage to be recognized and couples can not be forced into having children.
Skooter McGoo, so what?
Little Man
The term "homophobic" is used to describe a person who has, er, problems with homosexuality. If you prefer, we can use the words "bigots" or "hater" if they are more descriptive of you.
MarkOH, "problems with homosexuality"?
I would hope that the pro-gay bigotry of your remarks is not an accurate reflection of your own beliefs.
