A Howell High School student and his mother recount a high-profile October 2010 classroom incident in a video published Wednesday on the Marriage Anti-Defamation Alliance website, www.marriageada.org.
"There was Mr. (Jay) McDowell on the news saying that (Daniel Glowacki) came into the classroom spewing homophobic and racial slurs," said Sandra Glowacki, mother of Howell student Daniel Glowacki, in the video published on the Marriage Anti-Defamation Alliance's Web site.
"And I'm listening, and I'm like, 'That's not what happened,' " she continued.
"He just kept going," she added, beginning to cry.

Danies, hooray for you handeling yourself in such a grown up manor & rising up to protect your Faith & beliefs. That teacher should have been suspended!! But, he & others like him have spread so many falsehoods that those in authority are afraid to take a stand, Shame on them! God will bless you & protect you. They can't steal your soul! Will keep you & your Mother in our prayers.
Teachers get away with breaking the rules, so that's why they do it. In this case, he has embarrassed his administration, and went to the Press in order to cover it up with lies. But he found out one thing: You cannot intimidate a real Christian, even a youngster. It's like crushing into a a brick wall. But the students know what happened in that classroom, and he will gradually lose his teaching authority. He is a bully, and perfectly demonstrated. This is not over, yet.
I'm so sorry that one teacher's inappropriate behavior and attempts to justify it have been at your expense. Disallowing a person to hold on to his religious beliefs is untenable and totally out of place in an Economics classroom. Good luck and God bless the Glowacki family.
