URGENT: Vote FOR Marriage Protection Amendment in North Carolina Today!

Email Header Image

Dear Marriage Supporter,

I hope you've already contacted friends and family in North Carolina, urging them to vote FOR the Marriage Protection Amendment today.

But if you haven't, it's not too late!

Polls are open until 7:30 this evening (Eastern Time), and every vote counts as North Carolina voters have the opportunity to become the 31st state to adopt a constitutional amendment protecting marriage.

Please, do it right now. Forward this email to anyone you know who lives in North Carolina, and urge them to vote FOR the Marriage Protection Amendment!

We have just a few hours left, and our opponents have pulled out all the stops in a desperate attempt to deceive voters. Last week, numerous state law enforcement officials publicly informed voters that nothing in the Marriage Protection Amendment would jeopardize domestic violence protections. And just yesterday, the Durham County district attorney admitted that pro-SSM activists' main arguments are nothing more than baseless scare tactics.

Why are they trying to change the subject? Because even their own pollster is telling them that "North Carolinians...really firmly believe that marriage is between a man and a woman and it should stay that way."

Of course that's true, despite what you read in the newspaper...but the final outcome today will hinge not on what most voters believe about marriage—but on how many voters make the effort to get to the polls to vote FOR the Marriage Protection Amendment.

So please contact your friends and family in North Carolina right now to be sure that they have voted today!

The stakes are simply too great. We can't afford to let up until we have crossed the finish line at 7:30pm tonight. Please, take a moment right now to forward this message to friends and family in North Carolina, or use the social networking buttons below to spread the word on Facebook or Twitter.

    Gee, B73.

Kinda seems to me that anything we don on an election day, that would cause an opponent of marriage such as yourself to get his knickers in a twist, is a good thing :-)

Guess I'll have to call some more NC folks and make sure they get out and vote.

    GO NC!

    Let's win it by 20!!

Reports are coming in of voter fraud in areas that are anti-Amendment 1: where individuals older than 18 are being given ballots without Amendment 1 present: ballots reserved for voters age 17 who are allowed to vote for candidates, but not on referendums.

    Gee.

That sounds like a real tough one.

I mean, couldn't they just walk back and ask for the right ballot?

    Oh, that's right.

Elections don't matter, we aren't supposed to vote on civil rights, the courts will throw out the votes anyway......

Logic has never been among the strong suits of the marriage corruption agenda.

My friends in NC have assured me that they know all about the amendment and they're voting YES !

Rick, I was just reporting on what is happening. People are being given the wrong ballot. I would rather this civil rights issue not be voted on at all and despite what you claim, this is a civil rights issue.

    Oh, I see RJ.

    Thanks for the clarification.

    So:

    1. You are outraged by reports of election fraud in
    2. An election concerning
    3. Civil rights
    4. Which should not be voted on.

    Like I say, RJ.

You guys just keep those sharply crafted arguments coming.

By the way Rick: the other side is opposed to voting on this unless of course they lose then they do favor voting on this.

Witness Maine two years ago where they tried to stop the vote on this matter but lost. Now it is they who want marriage to be voted on in Maine.

Kind of tasteless, don't you think? Bombarding friends and family with emails telling them how to vote in an election - especially when you're telling them to vote for discrimination - is completely offensive. I hope those who follow NOM's instructions get a bunch of responses from those who also think its out of line telling them where they can shove their email.

If the mere definition of marriage discriminates, then dictionaries themselves discriminate.

Rick, I am outraged at any instance of supposed election fraud on either side of any vote. In my opinion, if people go to vote and are unable to vote on the whole, legitimate ballot, the entire election should be recast.

I was as pissed off about the reported voter fraud by ACORN as I am about people being given the wrong ballot in this initiative.

"Kinda seems to me that anything we don on an election day, that would cause an opponent of marriage such as yourself to get his knickers in a twist, is a good thing"

So you think voter fraud is a good thing. I'm not surprised, given you're desire to p-ss all over the constitution. But thanks for clarifying.

    B73:

Why would you accuse someone of approving of voter fraud?

The quote you excerpt is obviously related to the perfectly legal, American, legitimate act of *encouraging our neighbors to get out and vote*.

    Oh, that's right.

In your view, votes don't count.

They exist only to be tossed out by homosexualist judges.

Given this perversion of truth, as well as of logic, it comes as no surprise that you would twist my words.

    Textbook Alinsky there B73 :-)

Ain't workin so good for you on the marriage front, is it?

Rick, for someone who is anti gay, you come across as a total queen. As to your logic, if you don't believe an election should be held, then you dont have any interest in the fairness of the election. Sorry, this is yall's electiton, but I hope you don't mind if we show up? Election fraud is election fraud, and even elections that should never be held, should be conducted fairly once the decision to have on is made. To criticize someone for pointing out potention fraud on the part of nefarious poll workers is obtuse.

  14. Posted May 8, 2012 at 2:15 pm | Permalink

    Gee, that's nice, Reformed.

We actually found something we agree on.

We agree that election fraud is wrong.

    Cool!

Rick - I love this strange omnipresent charge against those who support marriage "Rick, for someone who is anti gay, you come across as a total queen"

For such a marginal phenomena, homosexuals see themselves everywhere.

I'm sure it dosent bother you but I find it odd and indicative of something (I just dont know what)

    Creighton/RJ (writes in another post)
"You just have to admit it. You think we're worth less."

I admit it. I think Male/male & Female/female couples are "worth less" than Male/Female couples.

    Why?

Well..Men and women are members of the one & only class of couples that can produce children. While any member of that class may not or cannot produce a child, they remain members of the class of couples that can produce children. Same sex pairings can never produce children. They are members of a class that always and everywhere are incapable of producing children. Therefore same sex “marriage” necessarily severs marriage from procreation. It both androgynizes the institution and separates it from any necessary link to childbearing.

Most people are heterosexual and only opposite sex pairs can conceive children. Your standard explicitly states that a child’s natural Father (or Mother) is non-essential to marriage, that any combination of adult is sufficient. It further reinforces and locks in the notion that all family forms are inherently equal. They are not. Yes, there is a philosophical maxim that reads – “If it’s everything it’s nothing”. We can’t defend what we can’t define. You are attempting to severe marriage from its historical and biological heritage. The effect is to say that marriage is outdated and any family form including single parenting is acceptable

Pete: My good freind thinks Kennedys assasination was a conspiracy. It dosent make him wrong about the fundemental right to marriage & his opinion on the proper definition of marriage dosent make him a closeted homosexual.

Micheal - Have you ever looked up the definition of marriage recently. Dictionaries today already include same-sex couples in the definition of marriage.

So much for redefining marriage, it has already happen.

Luckily for Micheal & myself dictionaries are not consulted as evidence in Supreme Court cases.

When fundemental rights are at stake it is Federal Precedent that is controlling.

You cannot change the definition of marriage anymore than you can channge the definition of "arms" to mean "down pillows" or the definition of speech to mean "saying what the goverment wants you to say".

The courts could do such things but it amounts to open subterfuge not jurisprudence.

I am always very deeply gratified to see the degree of investigative effort the Bureau of Marriage Corruption Inquisitors continues to devote to poor lil' ol' me.

As for Anna, tell her I will be happy to discuss with her my wonderful experiences in the aftermath of our wager- she knows how to reach me.

And tell her I sincerely hope she considers a mantilla as an option, in light of our victory today in NC!

Dont bring your personal vendeta against Rick to this forum (it simply distracts)

Anyones cosmology wont necesarily effect his views on the importance, legal & social - concerning the insitution of marriage.

So far the mans comments seem lucid, quick, and on subject. I'm glad to have him on the team.
