NOM Chairman of the Board John Eastman discusses the IRS leak of NOM's private tax information:
"There are only a couple explanations [for how NOM's tax documents came to be online]: either somebody illegally hacked into the IRS computer systems, which is troubling, or an IRS official leaked it, which is a felony, or somebody impersonated an official from the National Organization for Marriage, which is also a felony.... punishable by up to five years in federal prison for disclosing it, for publishing it for even looking at other people's tax returns knowing you did not have lawful access to it."

Or a former employee of NOM leaked them.
The person(s) responsible for this needs to be exposed and prosecuted. With the trickle-down corruption model of the current administration, however, I don't expect much cooperation within the IRS.
Our fine Attorney General, Eric Holder, is about to be slapped with Contempt of Congress charges for covering up Fast and Furious, an operation where our ATF gave thousands of guns to Mexican drug cartels.
To this administration laws are merely inconveniences.
Scrounger,
Would you like to explain how a NOM employee obtained an IRS controlled copy of the documents in question?
Epic fail.
Randy, are you saying that NOM doesn't keep copies before filing?
My goodness.
This tax return thing has been explained so many times. It has been reported by various groups and pundits. NOM has screencaps of the documents (which prove they are official IRS copies, and couldn't have come from any place other than the IRS). NOM has also managed to: 1) get HRC to comply with requests to remove the documents from their website; and 2) get the IRS to respond saying that they take this matter "very seriously."
SSMers go from thread to thread saying the same thing. I don't know if it's a matter of their inability to follow and catch on, or if they just don't want to believe that NOM was the victim of a crime.
I'm leaning toward the latter explanation.
Ash
It's a feature, not a bug.
Ash, a NOM employee can request the documents from the IRS an then release them to the HRC. See, it's that easy.
Just as NOM's race-baiting plans, being decisive is how they roll.
Oooooo Pete. I know! I know!
Its so simple, on e you lay it out like that......B ryan and M<aggie cook up this really brilliant way to like, really get HRC, so they send a requewet for the filing and then.....like...they sneakily give it to HRC and then they file a criminal complaint demanding that the Feds investigate the whole thing........
Brilliant, Pete.
You really get the gold star this time big fella........
Hey Rick, how about a disgruntled NOM employee, I hear that happens.
Ask Maggie if she thinks the sun revolves around the earth, Rick. Then award the star to yourself.
Pete,
You need to be more than a simple employee to receive a copy of the tax filings Pete. Don't look now Pete; but your desperation is showing.
Fail +2
Heh heh heh....
Pete, I gotta hand it to you.
No argument is too absurd, too ridiculous, too self-contradictory.......you'll toss it bout there.
You have a bright future in Alinskyite politics, my friend
