Newt is brilliant. And despite his foibles he understands this country better than most. I hope there's a prominent place for him in the next administration. I invite every woman (and man) in America to defend our rights, including 2A.

Really? Thrice-married serial adulterer Newt Gingrich is the person you want defending marriage?

    Katie,

When did personal past failings become a rational for eliminating a person’s right to speak the truth?

Your statement says a lot more about the marriage corruption movements drive to impose its vague sense of morality then it does about those opposed to your tyrannical sense of right and wrong. Marriage corruption is an ideology grounded in repression and subversion; whereas support for traditional marriage is based on forgiveness and acceptance.

A great statement from a man who understands what this country is about.

Sorry Karen. While we might disagree with neo-Nazi speech, we do not change our free speech laws to snuff their voices out. While we might falter in our pledges to stay in our marriages, we do not dismantle the institution for the benefit of a bunch of radicals who don't like it because it doesn't fit in with their sordid, selfish lifestyles.

I see that my response to OvercameSSA will not be posted. This is unfortunate; it was not inflammatory at all.

I find it amazing that you would feature Newt Gingrich. This man who has been married three times and has committed adultery multiple times, and yet you use him to speak for your cause!!

One of the saddest arguments for gay political identity politics is that people are as they are, and that they neither need to change, but, saddest of all--they are unable to change, not even their behavior.

Mr. Gingrich's repentance is between himself and his ex-wives and wife. A person can still support a standard, even if they fall short. The standard itself needs no apologies.

Gee, I dunno, Michael, maybe it's b/c Newt specifically talked about 2A in this video...

    The three relevant words:

    "Will Mitt speak"?

I like this guy less and less every day he doesn't.

Newt is a smart guy. It was nice listening to him on these issues--especially on the marriage issue.

I agree with him that the assualts on marriage are part of a larger effort to transform this country, and not for the good.

He did a good job in tying the marriage issue in with overall, modern-day, liberalism; but I'd love to hear some of his in depth analysis.
