Considering we have a population of 60+million, this is actually quite small scale. And all we're looking to do is provide the same LEGAL (i.e. NOT religious) service to a section of society that has, in the past, suffered under the Tories (search Section 28 and you will see what I mean). Karma coming full circle, methinks

Can I remind everyone again that marriage is not, repeat, NOT the sole exclusive property of Christians. Even if it were, it is a mite childish and selfish to want to keep it all to yourselves and not share it with anyone, isn't it?

Well, at the worst UK may follow the Spanish route

...Get SSM in and going by this current government
...Voters kick the government out
...The new government then removes SSM from the law books.

Still, it would be nice to know.that the current government 'had respect for the majority', and would not subject the nation to all of this in the mean time.

While I do not object to Civil Unions, the word Marriage is a sacret tradition and MUST NOT BE WRECKED.

While I am an Athiest, I say 'you do not need to believe in god, to believe that SSM is wrong'.

Yes, maybe finally at last the sleeping giant has been awaken. For too long the attack on the institution of marriage by homosexuals was not taken seriously.
At last there are voices arising to stop this. Does marriage get saved or does the sodomites dream of wrecking the wonderfull institution we call marriage come true.
We welcome all in this historic battle. Be on the right side of history of the group that defended marriage when it seemed it may have been destroyed.
