PayPal Billionaire Peter Thiel Secretly Funding Ron Paul's Attack Ads

The San Francisco Chronicle:

Who is this mystery man who has donated $2.6 million to Endorse Liberty, the pro-Paul super PAC that has produced several viral videos and sponsored sharp attack ads against Santorum, Gingrich and Texas Gov. Rick Perry?

Thiel, 44, is a low-profile libertarian with a background as quirky as the candidate he supports.

Born in Germany, he's a self-made billionaire who became a chess master as a child, majored in philosophy at Stanford University, and founded the conservative-libertarian Stanford Review to "present alternate views" on a campus he felt was dominated by liberals.

... But the Bay Area billionaire is not just a free-enterprise fan. He's also a proud gay Christian who has supported a wide range of causes including gay rights, freedom of the press, antiaging research and artificial intelligence.

A dirty, dirty hard fight we are in. When morals and character are no more.

This is why all this has a chance of passing.
It is not a question about homo rights.
It is a question of money to be made!
There is so much money and new markets to be made by these social changes! And that is, I repeat, why it will be so, so hard for the Republican heart to truly say “no”. I mean we have the economy to think about. Its a question of national security and individual well being – money!

This only emphasizes the importance of having a very clear word that distinguish the man woman union. With out one it will be very, very hard for our children to see through the confusing fog of standardization”, “all-is-the-sameism” that will be all around them, and educated to them.
We must keep the word marriage, even if they take all else!
And if they take the word 'marriage', then we will have to come up with another word for it. Also well as one for “wedding”.

I really don't care who's funding the candidates campaigns. I like Ron Paul and I agree with him on a lot of issues....they all just happen to be economic issues. But the man's foreign and domestic policy are rather suicidal. He doesn't have a chance. Besides he's more concerned with starting a movement than winning the election. And who knows he may be the one that keeps the GOP in congress for the next 30 years like in the years after the Civil War. That was almost 4 decades of GOP administrations and legislatures.

Ron Paul makes some good points. He held up an ounce of silver and explained how prices have fallen with respect to silver.

It is not good to speak of doom...We'll begin winning fights when we defund (boycott) those businesses who take our money, and the people for granted...How do thr rich people get rich? When we are able to turn the joke on them, will be the time of when we start winning for our side...

And NOM, what is a gay-Christian?

    He's also a proud gay Christian :

That folks is a false statement. There is no such thing. It does not exist. It is like saying I have dehydrated water or a sqaure circle.

You can be a sodomite or a Christian. The choice is yours. But the both do not exist.

Ron Paul is a libertarian and actually sticks to his views. If America was changed exactly how he proposes, then we would probably have a better country even with respect to traditional marriage. However, the reality is that what he could propose would go through the legislative process and get corrupted into something totally unrecognizable and worse than the current standard.

    JR,

Please provide more details for your claims @ 8...

Any one could make that silly statement you made...

-There are blacks who are now white, do you believe that?

-There are homosexuals who believe in the Christianity except when it refers to SS sexual relations as an act sin-called false believers. Do you believe that?

The phrase "proud gay Christian" doesn't strike me as odd because I've known so many self-proclaimed Christians who unapologetically engage in very un-Christian behavior on a regular basis.

Anyone can claim to be Christian. There's nobody who has the authority to strip you of the title. So these days the label actually has very little meaning.

If Ron Paul's 50 years of marriage to his wife, 5 kids, several grandchildren, and delivery of hundreds of babies is not enough testimony to his support of MARRIAGE, LIFE AND FAMILY - WHAT IS?!

Leo- There are some Christian denominations who actively welcome and support gay members and welcome them as clergy members. Look at the Episcopal Church as an example. I am a baptized Catholic. I have spoken with a gay Catholic seminarian who estimates that 30% if not more of Catholic priests are gay. There are Catholic parishes that go out of their way to welcome gay parishioners although this is less the case now given that conservatives now control the Church hierarchy. Several prominent 20th century American Cardinals were gay. I read the New Testament and I see the Lord often addressing the Pharisees who took issue with the Lord because he sat with tax collectors, healed on the Sabbath and in their view committed blasphemy. When I read your post Leo, I automatically think of you as a Pharisee. It is the Lord and not others who will judge me. It is the Lord who determines who is and who is not Christian.

Actually Doogan the label has very important meaning to the almighty Creator Yahwah and his son Jesus Christ.

Matthew 25 said it best when Jesus says " Not everyone saying Lord to me will enter in the kingom as he tells them he never knew them.

Even Jesus knows there are phony Christians and so called gay Christians are phony Christians.

    Mark 10 6-9:

6 But from the beginning of the creation, God ‘made them male and female.’[a] 7 ‘For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, 8 and the two shall become one flesh’; [b] so then they are no longer two, but one flesh. 9 Therefore what God has joined together, let not man separate.”

Is there any mention of the advertisements accuracy? I did not see a mention of regarding that aspect. If the ads are truthful, then it must be necessary to get the word out when the media is in the tank for two and the other two are getting ignored.
