God bless these people.
Why should God bless a bigot who disrespects his own granddaughter?
I am proud of Senetor Diaz. He was the only Democrat in NY who would not sell out marriage for campaign cash.
God bless him
Rev. Diaz is a great man.
Just look to Apollonia for examples of how backward supporters of marriage corruption are.
In Apollonia’s world the Grandfather is expected to respect the granddaughter’s depravity as though it were of God; whereas the granddaughter has no obligation to her Grandfather what-so-ever. To the extent that in Apollonias’s twisted reality the Grandfather must turn his back on his conscience and his obligation to his constituency because his granddaughter has chose to ignore the laws of nature and natures God.
A man of true conviction. He and his granddaughter disagree, but they still love each other. The opposition refuses to acknowledge this b/c it refutes their narrative.
One has an obligation to "disrespect" the tendencies toward wrongdoing of those one loves. The day you stop telling people to stop defending or engaging in same-sex sexual activity is the day you abandon them, not "accept" them,no matter what they may believe or tell you.
Bravo to Sen. Diaz for having the guts to be the most high-profile Democrat in NY, and possibly the whole country, to defend traditional marriage. With more Democrats like him, this will no longer be a party politics partisan issue!
