Mitt Romney to Faith Leaders: Obama's Assault on Marriage and DOMA

Mitt Romney on a call with faith leaders said about Obama's record on Marriage:

"There's been an assault on marriage. I think [the President] is very aggressively trying to pave the path to same-sex marriage. I would, unlike this President, defend the Defense of Marriage Act. And I would also propose and promote once again an amendment to the Constitution to define marriage as a relationship between a man and a woman."

After reading Romney's accusations against Gingrich, his most powerful competitor for the GOP nomination, i have decided for myself Romney is a liar. The New Testament sets liars on the par to homosexual sexual behavior, so Romney does not belong on posts by NOM. That is my educated opinion. Romney might be winning, but his methods are un-Christian. If i were a Mormon, i would be utterly disappointed and alarmed of his Mormon testimony. Yes, i know he says the name of the church is really about 'Saints'. So far from the truth.

Mitt: While governor of Massachusetts did a good job of defending marriage.

This man has no truth, and is taking N O M for a ride. Not a -saint, now or latter.

Romney cannot be trusted. He talks out of both sides of his mouth and wouldn't go out of his way to defend marriage or anything. He's just a big phony.

I'm concerned about the levels of anti-Romney feelings from marriage supporters on this page. Romney is pro-marriage and will protect it.

If Romney is a liar (per his new debate coach), then no promises can be trusted in anything that really matters, when the times get rough. He always has some excuse for doing the reverse.

Ash, Mitt may be pro-marriage, but he does talk out of both sides of his mouth like Obama...personally, I don't trust MItt, I'm rooting for Santorium to win the GOP primaries, but when it comes down to who will be the next President, it can't be Obama again... Listen careful when Mitt talk about marriage and gays relationships-why does need to add that he does not discriminate against gays as if their is a huge gay discrimination problem in America... why would someone need to included that when they are talking about being FOR Marriage between one man and a woman...? If he becomes President, like the SSM supporters call it, he will need to evolve or begone...If he is using us supporters of marriage, we will (plan B) use him, the game works both ways...

    SC Guy:
I agree with what you wrote about Romney. I would just add that the same applies, in full measure, to Gingrich.

If you want trustworthy, vote for Rick Santorum.
