Please take a moment to thank Maryland Senate President Mike Miller (D) today.
His courageous comments urging "Evangelicals, Catholics, and African Americans" to come together to stop same-sex marriage in Maryland have already come under attack from gay marriage advocates. Miller said, "I'm a historian and I look at civilizations, I study civilizations, I read history every night. And I see it's an attack on the family, I think it's an attack on traditional families. That's the way I see it."
With Governor O'Malley, Equality Maryland and the Human Rights Campaign mounting an all-out assault on marriage this year, Senator Miller needs to hear from voters standing with him in defense of marriage—especially over the next 48 hours as he is condemned by gay marriage advocates.
Please take a moment right now to send a message of thanks to Senator Miller, thanking him for standing up for marriage and for Maryland's families.

Thank you Senator Miller, Your words mean so much and are an encouragment to those of us in California that have been made to feel like bigots for voting pro marriage. Not to mention being told that our votes mean nothing! Keep up the good work and God bless you sir! Sue Nardi
THANKS. WE ALREADY HAVE TOO MANY PROBLEMS TO ADD ANTI-NATURAL SEX CONTRACTS REDEFINED AS MARRIAGE. OR EVEN CIVIL UNIONS. LET'S KEEP TOGETHER THE GOOD WORK. GOD BLESS YOU!
Mike for President! Seriously, this is about children's needs not adult wants. Kids do best with a mom and a dad. . So SSM is out. IDEA, if gays want the benefits of marriage, but SSM is out, why discriminate? Why not give the same benefits as civil unions to 2 old maid sisters who live together without sex. What's sex got to do with it? So just give benefits without civil unions. Do not discriminate against the celibate.
Amen! We need more of this.

Heartfelt thanks to Senator Miller and his courageous stand for the dignity of marriage. May God bless him and energize the rest of us in this moral battle.
Same-sex civil marriage or civil union advocates argue with 'hate', and spit on your face (they believe it's part of the freedom of speech). They would change the laws regarding marriage, simply out of sympathy. Well, i'd like the policeman to disregard my traffic ticket out of sympathy too. Where does it end, this idea that sympathy is a basis for legislation? Equal rights? There's no such thing. There are many social classes getting many more rights than i - for instance people of more than 50% Hawaiian blood, Native Americans who live in a reservation, etc., etc., etc. Same-sex civil marriage lobbying is a naive legislative poison put forth during a bad economy, so they can say 'Why do you not focus on economic issues now?'
Thank-you Senator Miller, for standing for what has been ordained since the beginning of time. (Marriage between one man and one woman).
Thank you Senator Miller for not being bought and sold by the homosexual lobby, standing for truth, and seeing through all the emotional manipulation and rhetoric of their victim-card passion play, which has nothing to do with whether or not homosexual behavior is healthy for individuals and society. It is not and same sex "marriage" is nothing more than an state endorsement of homosexual behavior.
I agree with Maryland state delegate Don Dwyer when he said last year that "The only reason for same sex marriage is to teach the LGBT agenda in the public schools". States that have enacted it have followed this path, and there is no reason for Maryland to do anything different if they did. Considering this, Marylanders should collectively say "same sex marriage? not here, not now, not ever".
Thank you President of the Senate Mike MIller for standing up for what is right, my prayers are with you and your family.
