He Said Explicit Videos Were Inappropriate For High Schoolers...And Was Denounced As A Homophobe!?

Dear Marriage Supporter,

An anti-bullying curriculum in the Vancouver public schools points kids to a website featuring explicit videos of gay sex. When school board Trustee Ken Denike learned of it, he suggested periodic reviews of all online resources...and was roundly denounced by community leaders as a homophobe!

True story. See it here.

Ken Denike

Our most recent Marriage ADA video features Vancouver School Trustee Ken Denike and mental health professional Sophia Woo, who have been trying to help concerned parents protect their children from an anti-bullying curriculum produced by Out in Schools pointing kids to online "resources" that amount to little more than gay pornography.

The request from Trustee Denike and Ms. Woo? That the school district implement a policy for periodic review of websites referenced in school curriculum, recognizing that website content can change quickly.

The school board refuses to do anything to protect kids from these explicit websites. Anti-bullying teacher Ryan Clayton, who has worked with the Out in Schools curriculum, chalks it up to a politically motivated attack. And for their efforts, Ken Denike and Sophia Woo are denounced as homophobes.

Imagine that—in our neighbor to the north, protecting 13 year old children from being exposed to pornography in public schools is now just a politically motivated attack.

Let's be clear—this is not about a student using a school computer to access pornography. This is about official curriculum recommending students visit a website containing gay pornography—and personal attacks directed at anyone who dares stand up for our kids.

The gay press understands the issue:

This is a moral question, I agree. Just as the black civil rights movement changed the rules of what is and isn't acceptable for racism, the gay rights movement is shifting norms in Canada. And with that comes a message to those who won't evolve: your outdated morals are no longer acceptable, and we will teach your kids the new norms.

"We will teach your kids the new norms." There it is—this is the whole story in eight simple words. No exemptions, no alternatives—just forcing kids to be exposed to government-sponsored porn, in an effort to shift cultural norms and reshape our kids' understanding of right and wrong.

This cannot go unanswered, but we need your help to continue this fight.

You've been a strong supporter of marriage and of NOM's efforts to protect marriage and religious liberty (thank you again), so you of all people understand how our opponents are viciously targeting people's safety, property, and livelihoods—and what we can do to fight back!

If you do one thing this week, watch this video and then make one urgent online contribution to NOM so we can spread the truth about what's going on in America.

Marriage ADA will continue to release—one-at-a-time—a series of incredible new videos about other courageous pro-marriage citizens.

Our goal is to create a community of Americans who adhere to the core Gospel value: "Be not afraid!"

Thanks for acting fast,

Brian Brown

P.P.S. Out in Schools has now voluntarily removed this website from new printed materials in response to concerns raised by Trustee Denike and Ms. Woo.

Rule of thumb - if someone willingly participates in a NOM video, they are homophobic, they are a bigot, and they are a bully.

The phrase, "help concerned parents protect their children from an anti-bullying curriculum" is disturbing, NOM. Yes, let's protect our bully kids from being punished for being bullies. Really?!

All this when a high school kid takes his life. You should be proud.

I have heard NO ONE from the LGBT community advocate for gay kids to have access to gay porn, but I have heard pleas for anti-bullying websites, help forums, and printed guidelines and rules for schools to follow. If you have a problem with this, you are a bigot, you are part of the problem, you are part of the reason young Jacob took his own life.

Shame on you Brian Brown. Shame on you for collecting money from a group to support constant bullying and torture. Shame on you for preying on the fears of weak minds.

"your outdated morals are no longer acceptable, and we will teach your kids the new norms."

There can be no dispute; the Apostle Paul was absolutely accurate:

"This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.

For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,

Without natural affection, truce breakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good,

    Traitors, heady, high minded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;

Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.

For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts,

Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.

Now as Jannes and Jambres withstood Moses, so do these also resist the truth: men of corrupt minds, reprobate concerning the faith.

But they shall proceed no further: for their folly shall be manifest unto all men, as theirs also was.
    ....
Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution.

But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived."

Sure the folly of those who think exposing children to porn is a good idea is now exposed to all the horrified parents, and those who care that our children be raised to be virtuous citizens.

No gay person wants children to see explicit videos. Why is this story so vague? Because it's a lie. I call on NOM to post an image or a link or ANYTHING to prove their case.

Thank you EvolveAlready and, yes, shame on NOM and Brian Brown. The true child abusers are to be found in so many of the posts on this site that call for Religious Freedom to condemn gay people, spread lies about gay people and, worst of all, totally ignore gay kids except to encourage the Righteous to leave them feeling worthless and...bullied. This is the message that is getting out now; shame on you all. The blood is on your hands.

Wow EvolveAlready.... someone is the bigot and it's not NOM or us.... how are bullies??? Seriously... we are voicing our opinions and YOU are the one who will not let us have our voice. And gay people are not the only ones who get bullied and YOU are the bigot if you think they are

keep in mind since at least 1972, homosexual advocacy has been pushing for consent ages to be lowered to 13 to 14. Making child rape legal. Dan Savage a homosexual radical extremist who gives graphic and grude sexual advice to children in his Seattle sex column consider some pedophiles 'good' and has empathy for them

Usually "True story. See it here." would include a link to evidence.

Like maybe an article from an actual news source telling the story. Just sayin'.

So, is this story completely fictional? Or is it a true story that's been "retold" to the point that it's essentially completely fictional?

So-called "anti-bullying" programs, those pushed by gay advocacy organizations, are always, in fact, indoctrination programs. Most schools already have anti-bullying programs in place. What they need to do is enforce the existing policies.

I have little doubt that the elicit materials on the web sites were put there intentionally for young people to see. The opposition believes that anyone who objects to this is a bigot. What does that say about them?

EvolveAlready->Rule of thumb - if someone willingly participates in a NOM video, they are homophobic, they are a bigot, and they are a bully.</blockquote

    Two rules of thumb:

First rule of thumb- Gays accuse others so much it’s the modern version of the boy who cried wolf

Second rule of thumb - Routine accusations by gays are true in reverse.

When gays routinely accuse others of bigotry, gays are being bigoted.

When they routinely accuse opponents of hate, gay are being hateful.

When they routinely accuse others of bullying, gays are being bullies.

When they routinely accuse opponents of intolerance, gays are showing their intolerance for views other than their own.

When they routinely accuse opponents of prejudice, its because gays can’t see past their
    own prejudice.

When they routinely accuse opponents of homophobia its because gays are “phobic” about homophobia.

Although I generally include links, gay websites often have offensive ads or comments that are so indecent I choose to not add their link.

again, NOM using stories, info from Canada to pursue their agenda in the US. In addition, how is this related to the pursuit of maintaining marriage as man- woman only. This just seems to be more rhetoric to be used against providing a safe and secure and bully free One in schools.

The attack on families is not just a one nation affair. Canada has been far more accepting of the gay agenda in schools and public affairs. I would bet that ssm advocates agree that his freedom of speech should be curtailed. The march toward tyranny comes one step at a time.

That's a pretty shocking quote from the gay press. This is why I believe the lgbt lobby will ultimately fail in this country; with words like that, they are becoming too brazen. That kind of high-mindedness, on the order of bragging about usurping parents' authority to instill values in their children and transferring that authority to a loud-mouth, sexual minority, is, well, bound to result in a backlash.

It is as said in the scripture DoE quoted: "But they shall proceed no further: for their folly shall be manifest unto all men..."

Hey, I'm all for an International Organization for Marriage. Marriage between a man and a woman is a microcosm for all societies. Sex integration is good for everyone, especially for children who are the natural fruit of such unions.

EvolveAlready, bullying is not the best means of pressuring those who attempt to justify same-sex sexual activity to admit it can never be justified, but no educational system that denies the necessity of pressure in that direction should ever be accredited.
