Public Policy Polling finds [PDF] that Pennsylvania is firmly pro-marriage (the 12% undecided probably tend towards our side as well):
With public opinion stacked against them, no wonder advocates for redefining marriage are currently focusing on Pennsylvania courts.

There is going to be one hell of a war IF the will of the people is NOT upheld!
And I live in suburban Philadelphia.
Now we know why the Dems want DOMA overturned, since they cannot win fair and square at the ballot box they want SSM imposed on all 50 states against the will of the people.
Typical of NOM to leave out the fact that "a combined 64% want these couples to at least have civil unions, including 75% of Democrats, 71% of independents, and even 52% of Republicans."
A state called constitutional convention worded to consider only this amendment is the only way to get the momentum to win this issue, Get the petitions to get it on the ballot.
@Sapient - I'm good conceptually with "civil unions," as long as they have no limits to what combination of persons can participate (such as sexual preference, gender, or family relationship) and as long as they don't cost the taxpayers or employers anything. They could cover such things as joint bank accounts, inheritance rights, hospital visitation, and other matters of convenience for individuals with close relationships. I probably wouldn't call them unions because they would likely be of limited duration; maybe call them personal partnership agreements, much like business partners have.
John Noe,not all of us Dems want DOMA overturned!
