Roberto has said elsewhere in these pages:
There is no "right" to vote on the civil rights of minority groups!

Mr. Incredible asks:
When were those who claim to be homosexual officially designated a "minority" group?

In Bakke, SCOTUS, in 1978, said that groups have no Rights, that only individuals do.

There is no discrimination in a law that defines "marriage" as the union of a man, as husband, and a woman, as his wife, given that EVERYBODY is either male/man, or female/woman. EVERYBODY is included.

Bruce: 2/3 gets it to the convention.

One step at a time.

Interesting point though....now that we have 2/3, we only need five more states to have the 3/4 necessary for ratification and adoption.

Time to bear down and win big in Minnesota and North Carolina!

Evo- did you follow the debate in NC at all? When it was originally proposed, it was on the November ballot, but then it was moved because some Democrats were afraid it would harm their chances to win. You, no doubt, would have claimed that it was a ploy by the GOP to juice up conservative turnout in 2012 if it was on the November ballot. Everyone is allowed to vote in the May primary. You guys keep claiming a majority supports you- why don't they show up to vote?

Wow, first they try and muzzle public debate with a sneaky House vote and then they put it on the May ballot. Fantastically unfair - how many Dems are going to show up for a Republican primary vote?

Enjoy being bullies while you can NOM followers. It won't last much longer, despite how hard they'd like to keep you in this bigoted, little bubble.

And stop thanking God. The will of the majority is being imposed on a minority. No just God would support this.

Mike P. makes a good point. The funny thing is that the liberals, terrified that a November ballot initiative could bring more Christian conservatives to the polls, opted instead for the May primary (which is expected to be dominated by the GOP primary). This means that gay marriage will likely be banned by a lopsided margin. The problem for the Dems is that things are going so bad in the country they'll probably lose in November in a right-leaning state like NC anyway.
