Dear Marriage Supporter,
What a day! Over ten thousand of you rallied across the state of New York to vow that we would hold accountable the legislators who betrayed marriage and settle for nothing less than a vote of the people on marriage.
The rallies were the beginning of a new movement, a new coalition of people of every race, color, creed, and political party coming together to protect marriage in New York.
Working together with Senator Ruben Diaz, Radio Vision Cristiana, Bishop Mattera, New Yorkers for Constitutional Freedoms and leaders across the state we had a historic rally for marriage. But now we need to take the next steps.
We have been working hard to make sure that the Let the People Vote coalition would grow in the weeks following the rally. And it has done just that. We currently have four regional committees across the state representing hundreds of thousand of New Yorkers.
At the rallies we said we would give you concrete actions you could take every month to fight for marriage.
Well, yesterday NOM PAC NY launched the first of many billboards across the state holding legislators accountable.
Already the billboard is getting attention as the state fair begins. As you can see, the message is simple. We will hold accountable those legislators who betrayed marriage.
Local leaders came to us and helped fund this billboard. Would you like also like to see billboards in all of the legislators districts who betrayed marriage? Well you can make it happen. For the next month whatever money NOM PAC NY collects will go to this billboard drive. And if you donate we will match your donation to get as many billboards as possible up throughout the state.
That's what I'm asking you this month. Help us get a billboard up in your district holding you legislator accountable.

National Organization for Marriage
P.S. We'll have a big announcement next week on other next steps. But in the meantime, please consider helping us get billboards up across the state holding those who betrayed us accountable. God bless.

Awesome billboard!
Now that is the kind of on the ground evidence of a *real* commitment of dollars to get these pseudo-marriage flip floppers primaried and removed.
Wow! Great idea because of the number of people that pass by and read the sign (the more traffic, the more readers), and because it was New Yorkers (State) who funded it for their own State's upcoming elections.
Think this is"Obstructionism"? I know if Washington,Jefferson,Adams were alive today; there would be elected officials in prison and hanging from trees for the abominations and curses their actions have set forth.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH
This is just my opinion. I'd concentrate on the republicans and I would def go after Dean Skelos. He is just as culpable as the rest maybe even more. Him allowing the vote was just as damaging as the yes votes.
Please add Skelos to the list NOM.
Remember...challengers need to be electable. You don't want to dump one party's SSM supporter only to pave the way for the other party's SSM supporter.(I am an anti-SSM Democrat).
To Yohance: (repsponse not from NOM) Dean Skelos had to allow the vote, because the count of new york state Senators showed it would pass, due to some Republicans flipping their vote (supposedly because of the religious exceptions, which gave them a way to save face). new york state is now a crucible of social engineering. Politicians, there, say new york likes to be the first in everything (they don't clarify whether it is new york city or the state, though). It's all a play of words, an that's because state residents are very busy trying to make a living. There will be a come-back, no doubt about it, like in CA's Prop8. This issue really tests our citizen Rights.
Little Man:
Actually, the majority caucus can refuse to allow a vote,as happened under previous Republican majorities. Most Republicans did oppose SSM.
Mr. Louis E. - i see. Well then, in the New York Senate, Skelos had to go along with "the majority caucus". The trick about half-way religious exceptions worked. (i do appreciate your posted comments).
If I remember correctly wasn't there a debate among republicans as weather or not to allow the vote? Wasn't that the reason for all the delays?
I heard that the caucus did not want to allow a vote yet Skelos went against their wishes and allowed it to come up on the floor.
If I'm mistaken let me know. Otherwise he should be on the top if the list.
