Groups Claim White House is Hiding Truth on its DOMA Decision

Charlie Butts at One News Now:

"You know, they made this decision, and ... based on the timing of certain court filings [it looks like] it was made in concert with the homosexual activists and those who are seeking to redefine marriage," explains Judicial Watch president Tom Fitton. "... We just want to figure out what's going on."

... In a press release, the JW president goes even further: "Once again the Obama administration is playing politics with the Freedom of Information Act to avoid telling the American people the truth about one of its indefensible positions. The evidence suggests the nation's highest law enforcement is refusing to enforce the law to appease another special interest group."

Of course, DOMA is still being enforced -- as the president and DOJ said when they announced that they would no longer defend it in court. So the part of the article that claims DOMA is not being enforced is utterly fallacious.

But that's the type of journalistic integrity and attention to truth I've come to expect from the website which, along with promoting all kinds of birther conspiracy theories, brought us this poll which posited Satanic influence as the major contributor to advances in gay rights.

NObama is stretching executive powers beyond the limit, and not just by singularly declaring DOMA unconstitutional (not his job, doncha know).

He can't pass any of his socialist ideas through legal means, so everything he does is, in his own words, "under the radar."

Looking at the choices offered in the poll, I'd consider the Satanic influence choice as encompassing "all of the above", not merely a "behind the scenes" spiritual warfare type of influence directed by Satan. No doubt many participating in that poll came to the same common-sense conclusion.

If the people participating in that poll overwhelming chose Satanic influence, how is reporting it lacking "journalistic integrity and attention to truth"? If nothing else, it should give you pause to consider whether they might just be right!

Funny how so many have no problem with a poll when it favors the homosexual agenda, but let there be a poll against it and "Ohhhhh...no way that can be right!! Why that's just not 'journalistic integrity and attention to truth'"!

That's not to say I'm in tremendous favor of online polls (as stated in previous posts). It's just to point out what I see in this poll and the inconsistency in blasting the polls not in our favor while endorsing the ones that are (much in the way the same is often done with the scriptures on this same topic).

Read the blog and love the work the Judicial Watch is doing. They are right to pusue this as the homosexuals are playing dirty politics as usual. They cannot get DOMA repealled fairly at the ballot box so once again it is head to the courts to see if some activist judge will impose his view on the whole country.

I don't know about Satanic influences, but what is clear is that homosexuals pseudo marriage activists are turning their backs on God and his truth about marriage.

Mr. Hogan: DOMA is not being entirely enforced per immigration deportations, in case you don't know. Obama wants to say he enforces DOMA (Defense of Marriage Act, a current law of the land), and at the same time, not enforce it fully. And when he was defending it, he wasn't doing a good job, which got us in the Federal court mess. Fortunately/unfortunately, Obama is messing up in more than one way, and continues to create political enemies. When is the Democratic Party going to jump ship? is my question.

@Little man: Yes it is. The government is focusing resources to pursue deportation proceedings against immigrants with a history of violence and/or crime. This has allowed some same sex married couples a bit of breathing room (as it has allowed some unmarried couples -- both same sex and opposite sex -- and individuals), but one still cannot sponsor a same sex spouse for citizenship. Until that happens, married same sex couples still are not recognized as married by the federal government; hence, DOMA is still being enforced.

@Dan: The point was the survey itself, not the top response. Reporting the results of a survey which allows no disagreement is intellectually dishonest. The actual answer was simply humorous.
